soooo...I'm sure a bunch of you have seen those Steven Universe meets DBZ Abridged videos, right?
The person who makes those started a Steven Universe Abridged Series...and it's probably one of the worst things I've ever seen in my life
. Try to last even just two minutes, I dare you.
Judging from those comments, the audio and voices are sounding awful.
That's the worst possible thing to ever happen.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.God. I want to do that hypothetical Steven Universe abridged just so I can erase the pain of those 30 seconds.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Thing is, how do you abridge an already abridged series? Steven Universe has a very lean runtime, so unless you combined episodes together and created new plots from scratch, I don't see how it would work.
Besides, abridging is even harder when you're working with a series that already has a lot of self-aware humor and pokes fun at itself. Something like Sonic X, DBZ, or that one series with childrens' card games, but for many reasons abridging SU sounds redundant.
And how could you top this?
People usually just do fandubs for western animation, this stuff rarely ever gets abridged.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. That'd be what, "Steven's Birthday"? Greg and Connie will hopefully return soon now that things are in the clear.
And Peridot and Lapis have let the tsun in their tsundere relationship cool off a bit.
Both can act as stoic introverts if the plot calls for it, so I don't think they would much like to hang in Beach City, though I'll be sad if there's not at least one episode with them interacting with the human side cast. Odds are good they will eventually, at least once.
P-dot wasn't being intro...verted, she just wanted to finish the drill. That's perfectly fine.
There'll probably be quite few of perry interaction with humans episode, that'd be...a wasted opportunity.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Since they seemed to have finished the drill around or about the day the Cluster woke up, Peridot had a point.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Fusion in DBZ is a martial arts technique, and it's portrayed like one. It's a means for fighters to get a temporary boost of power, so it's actually what Homeworld WANTS fusion to be like. In SU Fusion is more complicated than that, it represents relationships taking on a form of their own, with the fusion produced being more than the sum of her parts.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. No, of course not. There's no emotion behind DBZ fusion at all.

So it seems like Greg doesn't want to get too involved in the Gem stuff for various reasons. Which I can't exactly blame him for.
