Not very.
Unless that theory is also implying rebels-son.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. My theory is that they're not obfuscating stupidity, but rather that Homeworld sent a bunch of bunglers who will single mindedly go after Jasper because they really don't care any more about finesse, and are about to do something drastic like crack open the Earth from orbit. They ignore the obvious rebel Gems in front of them because Homeworld isn't bothering with them individually, and so Homeworld ordered them to only bother with getting Jasper because she's the only person Homeworld sees any worth in recovering at this point.

Since only Yellow Diamond seems to be sending forces down, I would want to see another Diamond send their own representatives, and maybe clash with Peridot/Lapis/Jasper. I've had this theory that the remaining three Diamonds have some kind of agendas that they're keeping hidden from each other. And that they all have (or will have) separate interests with Earth, possibly for differing reasons.
Since YD seems to only be sending one ship at a time to Earth, it's clearly not that high of a priority to her. So I'm wondering what would be considered enough to send a whole squadron or fleet there. I also wonder if the other Diamonds even know Earth is still intact. I have a feeling we'll only find out once Steven discovers how to fix the corrupted gems.

Her design ought be the best looking.

Maybe Diomond Pink was tired of being one of the tallest...leaders.

Ooh, maybe when the show eventually has more regular interaction with the diamonds, a plot point will be the Diamonds Un-person-ing Pink Diamond, and the Gems reminding Homeworld of her existence. This is probably stuff saved for the show's endgame, though.
"The cruelest thing you can do to an artist is tell them their work is flawless when it isn't." -Ben "Yahtzee" CroshawWe've just had a bunch of revelations. Giving us everything at once would be bad storytelling. But there's no way they'd give us a detail as intriguing as that and not explain it eventually. And something as major as a unpersoning of a God empress is bound to be plot relevant (Or maybe it could be a red herring, but that would require some major writing gymnastics to make it not seem like a cop-out)
A recent Anime kick has allowed Randomness to fully acknowledge the true influences Anime has on Steven Universe.
