We have seen more of the supposed "evil" twin Jenny.
About two episodes more.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I was watching an unnecesary censorship video, and BOY is Rose Quartz condescending to Greg. "Human man you are so man fun", I dont know why the term Human man irks me so much. I love Rose but I never caught this side of her before.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.80s pop groups seem to be a breeding ground for entertainers. Ricky Gervais, Bronn...
There is no beginning. There is no end. There is only... Hooty.I think it speaks to the Gems in general: Emotion doesn't really play into their interaction as a society, so even someone as open-minded as Rose still doesn't fully know how to approach it.
They're that alien race that's so focused on their own expansion and advancement that they never get introspective or show much concern for other life. That is until one alien meets someone from Earth and learns how to live and love, et cetera et cetera. There's probably a trope name for it, but I couldn't find it. Closest comparison and I can draw them to is the Cardassians from Star Trek.
"The cruelest thing you can do to an artist is tell them their work is flawless when it isn't." -Ben "Yahtzee" CroshawSomeone do an MMC 4-based AMV! That band is cool! In a Dippy Fresh sort of way!
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Rose did like and somehow respected humans. The problem is, she did respected as PETS, like the way we usually love dogs or cats or like an ecologist protecting the living beings from a ecosystem. The problem was that: Rose never thought in humans as equals, and it wasn't until Greg's company when she finally started to see humans as something more as merely living sensible beings and able to have complex feelings.

It does raise the question of why exactly Rose waged that sort of war for a species and planet that she never truly took seriously for a really long time. It sort of lets into the idea that the Rebellion was a bit more complicated than "Earth is a pretty neat place, let's not blow it up".
I think people like Beach City episodes, it's just that recently most of our Beach City episodes have either been Lars/Sadie episodes (which a lot of people don't like) or Ronaldo episodes (which a lot of people really don't like).
I'm guessing that she just thought that Homeworld's plans for Earth were wrong, and she wanted to protect it and its inhabitants.
I mean, you might treat your pet in a manner that would be rather condescending if you did the same to a human, but that doesn't mean you want anyone to hurt it.

Oh God! Natural light! That's not true at all...about Beach City episodes.
At its very best, it's an exaggeration.
The last few were about...Sadie, Jamie, and Onion, while starting off with how the Gems felt.

I don't think Rose never took the planet seriously, she just didn't think of them like other gems. There are plenty of people in the real world who go to great lengths to save animals and habitats, after all.
And seeing as how Rose was thousands of years old, her original viewpoint of "humans are fun to play with" makes a lot of sense - hard to get attached to a species that dies in what must feel like a day to you.

I wouldn't mind more Beach City episodes - we could definitely use some lighter episodes - but I'd like it if they could maybe incorporate the Gems into them more.
Peridot and Lapis are new to Earth, so I could see them maybe wanting explore a bit. Peridot seems to have taken to Earth culture better than any other Gem, so I'm sure she'd be open to it.
I'm desperate hoping that "Restaurant Wars" involves Peridot and Lapis getting jobs at different restaurants (Fish Stew Pizza and the Frymans, I think), and thus inadvertently causing a fight to brew between the two establishments.
Oh God! Natural light!

I can't wait until Kiki's Pizza Delivery Service. Kiki seems cool, I want to see more about her. I feel like we've seen more of Jenny than Kiki.
When we're done, there won't be anything left.
