Bird mom no!

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Now explain me what the heck.

The back of her hair does look like a beak, doesn't it?

Maybe that's why everyone calls her Bird-mam.

Not that (It's pretty obvious why people call her Brid mom).

I'm talking about "I love Greg".

It's a parody of an incredibly WTF Marvel twist.

Well, I could had understand the joke if Pearl had just said "Heil Homeworld", no "I love Greg".

I think "I love Greg" is funnier, especially said so dramatically. It's all in the delivery.

Case in point.

Here's how to do it wrong.

Weirdly enough, Garnet seems surprised in every single pic where she appears, despite having.....you know.......FUTURE VISION!!!!

She's not always using "Looking further into the time-line vision"...

Well, it could be useful in those cases. Anyway, that explains everything.

I figure constantly seeing tons of different timelines would be mentally exhausting. You wouldn't be able to concentrate on anything. I don't know if she uses it all the time. She usually does that adjusting her shades thing when she's using it.

The Capt America one? Nothing. It came out of nowhere, with no foreshadowing. Their bid to sell more comic books definitely worked, but at the cost of the kids who have been idolizing Captain America for over half a century.

At this point it has to be retconned, or a part of some sort of bigger complex plot, because people are actually losing their minds. This is one of Marvel's most beloved characters.

The meme isn't just restricted to that, it's more generally about someone saying something absurdly unexpected. One for Spider-man was something like "Fuck responsibility."

Well Red Skull (who currently has mind control powers) did say in a previous storyline that he needed Cap alive because he has plans for him.

Kind of obvious whats going on, really
