I've been sitting on a pile of links. Its very uncomfortable. All those urls.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI want to see Peridot interacting with Tatsumaki.
Wait, some say Lion 2 is filler? Wat. It's Connie's second appearance and is important in seeing more of her character and her dynamic with Steven, Lion's strange powers, Rose's armory, and the sword of course.
It's one of my favorite early episodes. It accomplishes a lot with the right amount of mystery and natural humor.
And it has a Giant Penny.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I've finally started following the show in a sporadic way as of In Too Deep.
You could cut the Belligerent Sexual Tension between Peridot and Lapis with a knife. When are they going to give it up and just screw fuse already?
I'm pretty sure you're only gonna requires a pair of child-saftey scissors.
It's not that thick.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. It's a classic tsundere dynamic. Come to think of it though, them fusing would be neat.
It's impossible for me to imagine hypothetical fusions, because there's a massive list of possible minerals and even as the series started they were fine with using more obscure minerals than would be commonly found. I find what the show comes up with is more interesting and a different stone than anything the fandom could think up, so it's almost pointless to imagine.

That's got me thinking. I like how this show makes fusion out to be more than the obvious metaphor it seems like. A lesser show would've probably made it into an obvious, wink-wink joke for the parents. Alone Together made fusion seem like being in an intimate relationship in general. The episode itself made their fusion seem like a metaphor for a first relationship after puberty. The "we can stop if you want; No, it's fine" exchange can attest to that.
I like Adventure Time, but having a central theme of love and relationships gives this show the focus AT lacks, even in the episodes that don't have much to do with the plot. Plus, I like how this show takes the surprisingly controversial stance that love at first sight isn't real. It's a hard truth that shows you the writers really care about informing their young audience.
"The cruelest thing you can do to an artist is tell them their work is flawless when it isn't." -Ben "Yahtzee" CroshawIt's appreciated, but no longer novel in children's entertainment since Frozen.
As much as Adventure Time deals with deep themes, i don't think it's meant to have a *theme*, the character arcs have their own themes, whereas SU does seem to have common themes it applies across the growth of different characters.
Btw, I just realized that Connie's character arc is a more drawn-out, inverted version of that one Fairly Oddparents episode
.
It's not...I CAN SEE(with glasses), I CAN FIGHT!!
It's...I CAN SEE(without glasses)!
