You can go through all scenes that are similar to the anime based inspiration, not just reference...influence over reference.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. When I first saw Garnet I thought she looked like Nanga from ''Brain Powerd''
. True story. Though, looking back, their designs aren't that similar.

That was one of my favorite exchanges in Invader Zim.
If Zim was actually there, he'd be throwing bombastic insults at Lapis telling her how inferior she and her entire race is.

Irkens vs. gems! Who would win?
...probably Irkens, considering the size of their armada
, and the fact that they only need to send one invader per planet.
I can imagine a meeting between the Almighty Tallest and Yellow Diamond going down like this:
Yellow Diamond: So you're the leaders of your race only because you're the tallest?
Almighty Tallest Red: Of course! Short people are losers!
Almighty Tallest Purple: Plus, we get all the snacks!
*silence for five seconds*
Yellow Diamond: *glare* You disgust me.

Because instead of Percy and Pierre, they went with Percy and Princeton. I mean, really...
Of course, all of it turned out to be a simulation created by aliens to break Pierre's spirit, so we're good.
Oh God! Natural light!I wouldn't get your hopes up - the recent leaks seem to imply that Paulette's going to start dating Patrick again, even after he ditched her for Pauline back in season 3! Also, the talking bear voiced by Mike Nelson was killed by Nyarlathotep in the finale, so we won't even have him anymore..

Oh God! Natural light!I know...
That last bit was weird, though - Nyarly was in a female form at the time, which he doesn't normally do here, and for some reason that form wasn't voiced by Tara Strong, like the female forms normally are, but instead someone named Mary Jo Pehl? Never heard of her.

Oh God! Natural light! At least the trailers implies that Percy will gonna receive a Character Rerailment. That's a good relief.

That's true. Not to mention how Priscilla's finally coming back to camp after her grandfather got eaten by a tiger shark. I mean, I know that she needed time to cope with the trauma, especially that "Jaws" prank (God, I still can't believe Patrick did that. And people ask why he's my least favorite character...), but we had to wait two whole seasons!
By the way, what's your favorite episode? Mine's "Chaos Crawling In My Skin". I know a lot of people weren't too keen about how season 2 started to push the Lovecraftian elements that had previously only really been hinted at in Pauline's focus episodes, but I think that episode proved that they could make them work, while still giving us the deep characterization and compelling romance plots that made the show great.

Oh God! Natural light!I guess I would choose "A little heart-to-heart". I dunno, but I liked the well-managed drama when they discovered that Pierre needed a heart surgery. And if that was not enough, the eldritch abomination from the las episode was still alive. I liked how dramatic the things got. The hints about Pierre having some problems with his heart finally evolves into a surprisingly complex conflict. And while the episode had comedic moments, they were well managed so it doesn't feel out-of-place and disrespectful.
Oh yeah, I love that episode too! I was actually on the fence in regards to the Percy/Pierre ship for awhile, but their scene by the lake made me a believer. I'm total Piercy trash now.
I also really liked the episode where they got a job at that restaurant - you know, "Waiter, There's a Shoggoth In My Soup"? Granted, Patrick plays a larger role than I would have liked, but he's actually funny in this one, so I'm okay with it. One thing I don't get, though, is how they got Graham Chapman to play the health inspector. I mean, he's hilarious, don't get me wrong, but he's been dead for over 20 years! How the hell did that happen?

Oh God! Natural light!Look, we're all reasonable people. I think we can all agree that the Shout-Out to Neonomicon and Providence were entertaining, especially in a Canadian rural scenario that is so dramatically different from the typical New England setting these stories are so firmly rooted in, but it places Robert in a Pinball Protagonist role for the duration of his in(tro)duction episode. One thing I liked is how they subverted the Couleur War with hitherto unsuspected meaning; blue, and especially yellow, took some uncanny connotations.
Orgone energy, to be exact. Must have been one heck of a party.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Speaking of Lovecraft, have fanfic writers tried incorporating SU into the Cthulhu Mythos? With Nyarlathotep as the Big Bad?

I watched yesterday's episode. Lapis is a butt.
That is all. :p
My various fanfics.
