He's taking Lapis' side, for some reason...this is including not trying to understanding all the details.
Also Lapis split the Ocean for Steven...because she's nice like that.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. There remain a bunch of lingering questions, to be sure. Such as: why did none of them, upon seeing the cracked gem, try to take it to Rose (or her fountain, depending on the timeframe). Or why didn't they use a bubble?
Of course, you could just as well ask such questions of the shards that became Frybo, or the desert glass.
I have a message from another time...Their logic was that they wouldn't use a living Gem to power s mirror and hadn't considered that Homeworld would do that. Dead Gems are beyond me the point of healing or else there would be far more Crystal Gems around.
And they aren't opposed to using dead Gems for power sources.

The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Direct Quote-icle.
Pearl: How could I have known the Gem contained in that mirror would be so powerful?
What really counts as dead? For Gems.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I'm not sure whether or not fully dead is a thing for gems. Potentially horrifying though that may sound. Like, if that one word of god thing is right, and the painting in Together Breakfast was given its power and life due to Gem dust in the paint, that means not even being reduced to powder is enough.
I have a message from another time...It's weird.
Unless they're dealt with, being shattered just reduces their mentality to find other shard and become complete.
But if a single shard is placed inside a "thing" then the "thing" becomes a sentient being that mindlessly follows the commands of another.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Lapis had an cracked gem, and it was like that when pearl found it. She probably thought that since she has cracked for so long, that she would have been too much trouble to wake up.
Also Pearl being still like an homeworld gem is stupid, because Peridot says that pearls are to only stand still and look pretty, not fight with swords and spears and stuff. Thats Quartz stuff.
Also she probably thought that it would have been an homeworld gem. She was right on that account.

Amethyst is my least favorite, because her backstory is the least interesting, it's basically same as every other gem who was ever born, except she feels bad about it. I can't see anywhere they could go with her back story, really.
Pearl's personality and backstory is more interesting to me, and I think they could take it somewhere.
Except...she was born "wrong."
You probably meant something else though.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Amethyst is the last gem made on Earth, and she was deformed. So she acts like the baby of the group.
I think Pearl needs some more backstory because she spent the most time with Rose, and she's one of a customizable set. That deserves exploration.

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayRequires an origin episode to counter statement of absolute.

Shorter and...weaker. We gotta cover all bases.
She feels bad about her kindergarten birth because the Crystal Gems treat it as if it was a bad thing.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. The reason why Amethyst was upset about it is because the Kindergarten would've "janked" the Earth if it had been allowed to stay active. She's a Crystal Gem, which means she's sworn to protect the Earth, but her entire existence is the result of something that would've destroyed it.
Gave them our reactions, our explosions, all that was ours For graphs of passion and charts of stars...Her story is pretty much over...so it's already at that road to nowhere.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Amethyst can have issues about more than one thing.
Jasper's Undertale run ends.
Jasper's redemption arc.
Another Jasper redemption arc.
Always angry.
Some setting tweetails.
Various Amedots.
Also Peridot's hair is a star.

I mean, Pearl is one of my least favorite characters in this series, but there's a line. As in, picking up a mirror isn't evil just because it contained a sapient being, which Pearl had no way of knowing.
