A lot of people do like Lapis, actually. Count me as one of them.
I've said what I had to on Jasper, and I think the rest of us have as well, moving on.
Wonder if the Beach City folk if they see Lapis will be all blase about her taking the ocean. Meh, it happens.
I find the townsfolk apathy about the Gems to be funny and to a point, grounded. I mean when you live next to the fantastic all your life, it's just your normal.
They were pretty freaked out when it actually happened...though not for logical reasons.
Might just have a "water under the bridge" reaction.
Ronaldo is the only one who treats the Crystal Mem related stuff as "weird"...

Betrayers of trust. People who look all kind and innocent, and seem pure. Then, when day comes, they commit a horrible crime. What do all their friends do? They support them, of course, in spite of all evidence, in spite of a young woman with no need to lie. They build up hollow friendships to forgive and defend them in the face of weight of what they have done. They make others carry the load which should be for them and them alone.
But my history is just that, history. I feel no need to impose my opinion upon you. I am merely making my case, and the case is now closed.

I'll just take your word for it, I don't personally recall similar scenarios.
There's nothing to debate about...can only assume.
Not everyone wants to do that.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Look, the debate's gonna happen one way or another. The problem isn't people debating, it's people being rude during debates. And while I can get that sometimes the conversations get too heated to deal with, there's no point to making this big ol' passive aggressive fuss about it because people aren't doing what you want them to do.
Anyways, Rolando is a weird character. He's, well, a weirdly mean-sprited character. And I don't mean to go all reviewer-who-shall-not-be-named on you all, but that really feels dissonant with the rest of the show. All the rest of the cast has some sympathetic traits, even if sometimes their negatives outweigh their positives (like what many think about Lars). Rolando has no such positives. The best thing the show can say about him is that he's harmless, or he's just naive, except for all the times where he does the exact opposite (remember that time he tried to kill Lars?). And I want to hate him for it, but then he has his meltdowns and I sort of wonder if Rolando might have an actual mental problem here, which incidentally makes the depiction of his character all the more weirder.
Basically, he's the sort of character that would work best in another show, and it feels like the characters only tolerate him because of the world of Steven Universe.

She hasn't established herself much...personality wise.
