It can't be Peridot. She has a chest Gem. Thought it might be a Peridot. The Gem has the same general shape as Peridot's and that seems consitent across Gems of the same type.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.It could be the Gem that first planted the Cluster in the Earth in the first place.
Speaking of which, anyone else kind of want the Cluster to show up as an eleventh hour character, having evolved into a sapient being made up of the billions of minds of shattered gems working in tandem like one big brain?
Like, she bubble-teleports herself to help at the last minute and punches Yellow Diamond in the face with a fist the size of many moons.
Well, I may have embellished that last part, but still.

That'd be a major ButtTug if I ever saw one.
Being in a bubble is pretty much stasis, doing that would be literally impossible especially since it's an unformed gem.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. We know that the Cluster isn't in stasis, even if it is in a bubble. We see it active at the very end.
Also worth noting that the Cluster bubbled itself, and presumably has to maintain that bubble itself - it's choosing to stay that way, and being in a bubble is way to do that. However, though the bubble stops it from forming when it doesn't want to, it doesn't stop it from doing things.

Okay...it shouldn't know that it can teleport the bubble.
I'm not sure what you mean by "we saw it active at the very end"...this being a case where gems are conscious inside the bubble?
This is a weird situation.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I mean, gems can teleport bubbled things. And the cluster bubbled itself, so.

When Steven was inside of the Cluster's head(s), it was just a giant black void with a bunch of individual gem shards floating around it, which glowed as they spoke, basically turning the screen completely white when they were shouting. It was actually quite creepy, even without the usual body horror elements.
Gave them our reactions, our explosions, all that was ours For graphs of passion and charts of stars...That was a Mental World, not the Cluster's literal interior. The physical inside probably looks the same as the outside: a continuous mass of fused together shards.
I mean, presumably the Cluster's body if it formed would be different. The body is a projection of the gem. In this case gems.
I'm curious about what the Cluster would be like if it achieved stability. And wasn't stuck in the core.
That'd be one giant woman.

It'd probably just be a gross, mass, of body parts, like the other gem mutants. Like something out of Akira but 100 times worse.

But those gem mutants aren't stable because Steven hasn't talked their components into being friends with each other yet.
If they coordinated they could have a group working together to make a leg, and another group coordinating on an eye.
At worst it would only be as gross as Malachite.
Like, of course the gem mutants look weird and gross when they don't know the other gems they've been fused to exist. So they're each trying to generate a whole body around their gem. But they're just shards so they don't have enough energy. So they each make a hand. And when everyone makes a hand you have a bunch of hands.

Centipeedle is also corrupted though.
We don't know where corrupted gems come from, but it doesn't seem like they're all cluster gems.
Some of the gems in the Cluster might be corrupted, but not all of them.
Centipeedle also couldn't really talk to Steven. The Cluster is aware enough and intelligent enough and in control of themselves enough to bubble themselves and know that they don't want to destroy the Earth.
The corrupted gems seem to be gems that have degenerated into animals. The Cluster gems seem like gems that are, essentially, brain damaged and then had the brains sorta stitched together.

So yeah, they don't write with seasons in mind anymore.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?

If that gem in the Mural is Peridot, then she has a star in her hair.
