She felt very much at home in the ground before being moved off planet.
Being stuck in the ground felt like not existing.

I do feel Jasper defecting is probably going to be along those lines yes. Basically, she would have to lose respect for Homeworld somehow to the point where she'd swear off her allegiance, and possibly gain enough respect for the Gems to fight for them instead. It's not out of the question at all, and I have to agree it might be the most interesting of the "redemption" arcs we've gotten so far because it probably wouldn't be predicated on Steven winning her over with kindness so much as a natural conclusion for Jasper based on her own values.
I highly doubt Jasper will be involved in Hit The Diamond. When they bring her back it'd be in an episode with conflict, or backstory. Not the Baseball Episode.
Last we saw her she fell into a crevice, on an island in the middle of the ocean. And Hit The Diamond takes place at the barn, and is the 5th episode of this event. It doesn't make any logical sense for her to appear there.

x4 I dunno, have you seen the preview for "Hit the Diamond"? It's kind of very suspicious. I can't say with certainty that she'll show up in it, but I don't doubt it either.
Maybe Jasper won't actually be all that afraid of the ocean.
All I know is that there are many paths Jasper and Lapis's relationship could take, and all of them involve hugging. I don't know in what context, it could be the most awkward hug any of us have ever seen, but they're going to hug. I don't make the rules.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot. The feelings are from the gem animal form then the thought is overlain to the Uplifted Animal as the humanoid form is imposed on it. This overlay is unnatural and so subject to corruption by the underlying nature.
The cluster is only several miles across at the moment from its curvature. (Anybody calculated?) It would only cause a megavolcano (from the pressure difference) if it suddenly vanished.
The only relationship Peridot has ever had is devotion to her supervisor and especially the top of the pile. The only change in her feelings is a change of loyalty to Steven. She's still stuck with the isolation from peers emotional baggage of Homeworld and so treats the other CG as rivals who would bad mouth her to their big boss, who is Steven. She doesn't have the emotional maturity to trust anybody with fusion.
Nah, that's just the different viewing distances.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Well remember, while Peridot was charmed by Steven's interactions it really wasn't until YD's seemingly illogical rage towards the destruction of Earth that Peridot realized that not even the Diamonds operated completely on logic, and as such it wouldn't make sense for her to either.
If Jasper has an arc I expect it'll likely play into her role as a noble warrior. "Cheap tic-tak" and all that jazz. She has the perception of someone who shows authority through strength, but at the same time respects those who put authority through strength. She won't understand how Steven can draw such leadership through pure good will. Similar to Peridot, it would take something that would show her that Homeworld, her foundations, don't follow her values any more than the gems do, so why should she?

I mean, she did respect Rose's tactics. So in theory that respect could potentially lead to defection if she lost enough respect for her superiors.
But then. Steven's tactics probably aren't Rose's tactics.
If Steven even had tactics which he doesn't yet.
Although.
I personally think Hit the Diamond is going to have Jasper join. Not based on anything other than a personal hunch.
Maybe Steven's able to earn Jasper's respect and make her think he's a good tactician using baseball?
I dunno.
I think a fundamental difference between Jasper and Yellow Diamond is that where Jasper wants to fight the War again, Yellow Diamond really wants to pretend the War didn't happen. Where Peridot might oppose Yellow Diamond on the basis of unreasonable pettiness, Jasper might do so on the basis of cowardice and dishonor.
