The times are-a-changing, eh.
Accepting concepts in kids programs that should've been accepted a long, long time ago.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Bruisers don't heal, mang. That goes against the arbitrary conventions that everyone follows.
Nay. Also I don't see how that would be very awesome.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. She's not a Bruiser.
She's a Defense Healer who's making use of her naturally high strength stat. from being a Quartz.
As well as leveling up dexterity to become a Sword wielder.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. She'd be useless in combat if she didn't learn to fight.
Defense is useless in a fight unless you learn to fight.
That's why she's so great.

Anyway, the one thing I'm really waiting for is an honest to God Villain Song. It's taking way too long, dammit. And no, joining the good guys and then singing does not count.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.Well you'd have to come up with a good justification for it. Most villain songs are disconnected sequences from the main plot, while Steven Universe is explicitly framed from Steven's limited perspective. He'd have to somehow be sneaking in on some sort of evil monologue or something like that, and the amount of villains you could use for that are rapidly decreasing (as in, literally just YD and Jasper, and finding a way to get Steven to hear in on YD singing would be forced as fuck).
Maybe a flashback sequence a la The Answer?
Not arguing, but I'm reminded of how Idina Menzel never sang in Enchanted, and she actually considered it a compliment, just being hired for her acting skills.
There is no beginning. There is no end. There is only... Hooty.
x4 Patti LuPone not just a Broadway legend, she's the Broadway legend.
In Gypsy (a lot of the people posting on that video are Steven Universe fans, actually)
In Evita
Some of you may know what a HUGE musical theater nerd I am. When I heard her voice as YD I almost stopped breathing. I had to rewatch it a second time to even hear what was happening

"HERE COMES THE GENERAL" may be one of my favorite things in the entire musical.
