Well, while you are on hiatus you can read this useless review of mine:
Well I have seen the series because so far is one of the few things that work in CN and so far I like it, the first are good but feel like short intead, the voices and animation get set into tone latter but is notting to worry about
About the chararter, Well they are good and intersting(specially when Peridot insult Rose, you CAN feel their anger) but the real star is steven, is show the care they use on him(which make sense consider is one of the few suporting protagonist) he feel engaging to see, he maybe cry a little bit to much(or get into dangerous thing a little bit to much, depeding of how you see it) but is normal and understanble.
Something I like is whole Gem lore, for a cartoon it feels THERE as it actually have a presence in the world and Steven is just seen little by little instead of just being there throw at random(which it happen a lot in Hour of aventure) and the background are just beutifull
What I dont like is that something thing just sort to happen to further the plot, like the lion been able of walk into water and create portal or Pearl having a mirror that just happen to have a Gem(and what is with that? really) or the whole "rose room" that while is creepy episode, it start by Steven feeling liek he cant do what he wants which is rather weak motive as whole, I can understand much of it, but it feel...convinient, that is why I like the whole "finding a crystal" episode
And for last is the minor chararter, Sadie and Lars are ok, connie is somewhat intersting for what I see and Greg is...strange from most part, I like the foreshadowing so far and I cant wait to see the rest.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Lion being able to walk on water is a pretty minor thing, but having the ability to create portals just seems like it's a natural thing...because Gems can warp.
The mirror is gem powered, it didn't just happen to have a gem in it...that's the only reason gem stuff does what it do.
A kid character complaining about things never going the way they want is a pretty standard plot type.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.
Maybe but it feel like popping out of nowhere to move the plot to their direction, like "So you can do this now....Ok"
And yes but with Steven feels weird, I think the episode been mock in the end with him in the mini-golfs saying "I always have what I want" so I can see how it play up.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Well, that's pretty much how all the Crystal Gems' powers were introduced until they showed all of them.
I see what happen there.
Lion being a walking water god is the random one, it didn't seem to serve a real benefit.

More ofr less, the first episode establish their weapon, episode 6 their shape shifting, but other like that one is out of nowhere.
So far I like this show mantain is foreshowing, like Lars friend being show in the frydor episode or sammy being show in the second one(alone with the golf club)
Also Im seeing Freiman brother Ronaldo right now and Apanrely the nostalgia critic dosent like him, is this right?

"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I will say, one problem that I don't think this show has yet but very easily could develop given the previous set-ups is The Main Characters Do Everything. Between the implications that Garnet may have been the very first Fusion EVER between two different types of Gems, all the foreshadowing regarding Rose's possible connection to the Diamonds, and Yellow Diamond herself seemingly being all "Fuck this planet, in particular" in regards to Earth, it seems like a possibility for the future.

Sammy? Who you talking bout?
No, Critic don't like Ronaldo...for reasons.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Oh, you meant that guy...who owns the theme park. Right, right.
The reasons be that he don't like obnoxious conspiracy guy and also his voice is annoying. Those are the only things he said.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. We haven't had a good plot twist yet, that seems like a good idea.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Peridot would gravitate to Lars, wouldn't she? Him or Ronaldo.
I'd actually enjoy an episode where Peridot buys into Ronaldo's conspiracy theories and joins in, unaware that he's a crackpot.
Actually, a Slice of Life anthology episode that's just Peridot having weird misadventures with the citizens of Beach City in general.
Ok, Im seeing more episode and...dear god is the first an probably only time on my life that I will see a body horror based on kittens
And yet more foreshowing in general like Garnet losing in the game and how she dosent mind in Steven and connie.
Also after seen Lion episode I dont mind him creating portal, it explain how he get in place, also kuddos for averting "good animals=dogs"
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I'm hoping the transition from the current high drama back to a good slice of Beach City episodes coming up won't be too jarring.
Now that we've got world-destroying threats, they're either going to have to make this very personal which they usually do, or somehow up the scale further to keep the narrative at a good pace.
They write this stuff far in advance and Sugar's got most of it planned from the beginning, so I don't doubt they can do it.
She's said in a few interviews they were writing the outline and early sketches for "Jailbreak" as far back as the second episode and the storyboards for "Rose's Scabbard".
Heads up new guy, if you're aren't caught up we won't hold back on any spoilers. Fair warning.

...and that's why this is the Steven Universe thread.
