Clearly August is the 6th calendar month in this alternate dimension.
Peridot is using Homeworld's calendar system.
Diamondbacks. Perhaps it shall become a real Snake Boxer.
Anyone else noticed Dee Bradley Baker hasn't been in the credits since "Kindergarten Kid"? Since then, Lion seems to have gotten quieter (are they just using archive sounds?) and the few times we've heard gem monsters they've been credited to other actors.
A Snowflake Obsidian character turnaround has been discovered on Adam Fay's website!
Good to see actual confirmation on her name.

Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢It's a cool design that automatically brings lots of questions and interest to mind. It's a solid one.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Yeah, like why Fusion! Obsidian is so much bigger??
cos theres a diamond in the mix as well as several other Gems
New theme music also a boxIf I remember correctly Snowflake was still pretty big compared to the other gems.
Even gems within a given type with the exact same origin vary in size (hello, Crystal Gem Amethyst!... also, hey Jasper and Skinny!). Even without seeing Snowflake standing next to any other Gem, I'm fine with the assumption that we can handwave any size discrepancies even without having to go into "fusions with Diamonds are bigger than they otherwise would be" (which also strikes me as a reasonable assumption).
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. They were all abnormal examples of their type.
And we know precious little about Snowflake at the moment - plus, given the fact that she's a specific type of Obsidian, she might be "abnormal" by default.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. While Snowflake is nowhere near as large as the Obsidian fusion, she's still pretty big.
Hybrid fusions share their names with singular gems, but there's no way they could be as big on average (even if Hessonite is taller than Garnet).
It's also likely hybrid fusions just name themselves for whatever singular gem they most resemble, even if it's not much of a resemblance. What else but "Obsidian" do you call a gem that is basically made out of lava?
Why are people asking why a five gem fusion is smaller than a single Gem? It's been said a few times that fusions aren't actually the Gem type they're named after.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I kind of wonder if Obsidian is just special. Like, we know a few rules are IRL just what looks cool and in universe she's a fusion of a team working in perfect harmony
@theother1dude: Well, I mostly say it's a reasonable assumption because there seems to be a "size=power" correlation in gems, even if it isn't a hard-and-fast truth. Though the point about Steven's fusions being comparatively smaller (comparing Rainbow Quartz 2.0 or Smoky Quartz to, for example, Opal) is fair, though the flip side is that could be a function of Steven being smaller than almost every other Gem. Also, I suspect that Rose had a bit more control over the size of her forms than others (for example, how maintaining a larger form was exhausting for Amethyst when she posed as Jasper for, what, an hour or two?), so it may be that Rose intentionally kept her version of Rainbow Quartz on the smaller side as part of her masquerade.
All of that said, I admit that we don't know for sure - thus, while I still think it's a reasonable assumption, I'm definitely not taking it as canon truth, and I wouldn't find it outrageous if the idea was Jossed.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Once again, stretching is hard, not shapeshifting in general.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I took it more that maintaining a shapeshifted form (for someone other than Rose) was very hard, particularly when the new form was greater in volume (which I guess could be interpreted as "stretching is hard"). I guess we've never had specifics on the precise rules before.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. There is consistency though.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.And Rose is bigger than Garnet and the same size as Jasper, but Rainbow Quartz 1 is way smaller than Sardonyx, Sugilite, or Malachite.

Alexandrite is a four gem fusion, Sugilite is a three gem fusion (and keep in mind both involve the CGs heavy and a warrior caste even if flawed).
And Malachite involves a perfect Jasper and the rather OP Lapis Lazuli, and is a fusion driven by pure hatred.

I meant to say Sardonyx (i.e. comparing Garnet+Pearl to Rose+Pearl), not Alexandrite.
And my point was that Rose and Steven’s fusions are small compared to those with similarly-sized components. It doesn’t really matter what the others’ hypothetical reasons are.

A new comic came out all of a sudden, Fusion Frenzy.
Basically, it's anthology of short stories, each centered on one of the Crystal Gems' fusion and made by a different artist and writer. Judging from the preview, they're all dialogue-less.
Speaking of the comics, a comment on the SU wiki led to me digging around Ian's Twitter, and I found this. Only the first set of comics are "level 2 canon", it seems, and Attack the Light is actually fully canon.
On a lighter note, CN Argentina's website houses a sequel to Spike Squad that is also a crossover with OK K.O..
*Also checks the transcript* Oh, "7 14 2" is the one used at the end of the episode. My bad.
I still think I'm onto something with 2 standing in for Era 2.
