They're unlikely to put Steven in a full position of authority anytime soon. They barely trusted Pink Diamond with that, and Steven is much younger and half-organic.

He could still get enough pull to protect Earth, return the Zoomans to Earth, free the Rose Quartzes, etc. Maybe enough to go with them willingly (not that they're likely to take "no" for an answer).

The Famethysts are more Amethyst's family. What I got out of it is they could be taking him to see White Diamond.

If it weren't for the name of the episode I'd think they were going to visit Uncle DeMayo. It'd be funny to see him meet the Diamonds.

"And one of them kidnapped you to a tropical vacation in outer space?"

I decided to take a look on the Brazilian dub for Let's Only Think About Love. Some lines were actually painful to hear, while others sounded good. I could tell the translators were trying their hardest, but adaptation, especially of songs, is complicated. They didn't rely too much on ending sentences with verbs conjugated in the infinitive tense, which if I remember correctly was something they did in Phineas and Ferb.

Judging from this song, as I'm not familiar with the Brazilian dub, it seems like they try to stay as close to the original as possible, sometimes to a fault. And then sometimes they make do with something else. Apparently the Cluster is called... it's called... the Druse? Th-the what!? Druse. Oh.

I feel like they're missing the grammatical gender of some words and expressions, like seemingly refering to the diamonds as male (because the word for diamond has masculine grammatical gender, which is traditionally used as gender neutral as well), while Sapphire's "Future Vision" was called "Visão de Futuro" if I heard correctly, instead of "Visão do Futuro" as I would expect.

It’s listed as the very next episode, though. Even if this were the time to see Andy, Steven wouldn't need to travel—Andy came for the wedding then went to the shelter.

Although there’s a good chance the description is technically inaccurate—if Blue and Yellow take Steven off planet but don’t take Steven to White, he won’t be “travel[ing] to visit family”.

As one of the few members here who does watch their regional dubs,I appreciate the effort the dubbing teams do for the show. Especially since this is at the end of the day a Kids show and they deserve the best quality possible.

I... pretty much stopped on the episode where they were in the arcade and Garnet got addicted to that video game. I think I watched a few more after that but it was a fleeting experience.

So, fair point. I just so happened to see that theory in my suggested videos list and I was like "what!?"

I think this is the third time people have speculated that a Gem is blind. Rule of Three even applies to theories, it seems.

The "evil" White Diamond version has her being genuinely cold and (at least seemingly) emotionless, rather than simply affecting such a demeanor around non-Diamonds. I'd definitely like to see Steven facing an enemy more or less indifferent to his Pathos, though obviously it would be out of line with the general theme of the show for White Diamond to truly have no emotions rather than being very, very good at hiding them.

Lack of Empathy doesn't have to mean she doesn't feel emotions. Just that she doesn't have them for others. IRL people in leadership positions sometimes learn to numb those feelings as a sort of coping mechanism to reduce the stress.
