This seems like a good idea. I know of at least one webcomic off the top of my head that needs its page fixed and I know I've run across others before as well.

ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOSo which ones need re-indexing? Maybe we have an obsessive fan of that webcomic ready to leap into action.
Most webcomics go through this at some time or other, mainly because their creators stick up a rough and inefficient site because they know their servers will handle the huge bandwidth requirements because it's not like they're going to get thousands of regular readers. Then they do and so they have to rework the site.
Gunnerkrigg Court recently shifted the archives around, including the removal of two pages that didn't actually exist, which means that every link after a certain point is no longer accurate.
Do you know which page #s were deleted (from the old numbering) so we know which page range needs redoing? And how many that were deleted?
Also, although Keychain of Creation switched urls a while ago, there may be old urls still hanging around the site.
What is the way to find the old urls on the website (other than the comic page itself)? Do we just search for the affected domain name, is that sufficient?

Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.

I figured we could use a thread about this. I got a heads-up yesterday from the author of Blade Bunny that the site is going to be retooled in a few days, which will break all the links to individual strips.
I figure I can handle this one, it's not like this is a thousands of pages comic, but does anyone else think it would be a good idea to have a place to alert people when a comic gets broken links this way?
(Additionally, yay for actually getting a heads-up for this one - he's offered me some custom artwork for getting the links from tvtropes fixed, could we do with a better page image?)
