Now that Pokemon X and Y has been announced, I wonder what future generations will be called?
Why can't this be posted in the regular thread?
I guess this is kind of a sub-discussion.
Because it's entirely different from the regular topics and talking about games that doesn't exist yet. It's not about any Generation already mentioned.
Now, to be on-topic;
Pokemon Maroon/Brown/Gray.(all dark colors)
Pokemon The Computer Is Cheating Bastard Version and Pokemon Hacks Version
Pokemon Alpha and Beta.
Which would be Exactly What It Says on the Tin.

Pokemon Yin and Pokemon Yang.

Pokemon Wood, Pokemon Stone and Pokemon Metal.
Pokemon IN THE OLD TIMES!
Pokemon Star, Pokemon Planet and Pokemon Comet.
Pokemon IN SPACE!
Pokemon Past, Pokemon Future and Pokemon Present.
Pokemon TIME TRAVEL!
Anyway, possible future generation names (with a third one if there is one): Frost & Ember (fire & ice) | Nature (grass/bug) Spark & Steel (electric & steel) | Stench (poison) Dusk & Dawn (sunset and sunrise) | Noon (midday) Sun & Moon (sun and moon) | Star (star) Heart & Soul (not to be confused with HeartGold and SoulSilver) (hearts and souls) | Mind or Body (...) A & B (blood types) | AB
For now, that's all that my randomness can think up.
"Frost & Ember (fire & ice) | Nature (grass/bug)
Spark & Steel (electric & steel) | Stench (poison) "
How about Iron and Wood? (Tech and Nature)
Or something that points to Magic v.s. Technology?
Pokemon Gray and Pokemon Grey.
Pokemon Zombies and Pokemon Unicorns.

Rainbow and Clear would be interesting.
We got Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, as well as Pokémon Sun & Moon. My best guess would be that they'll use Pokémon Positive and Negative next and have a region with advanced technology, possibly based off of Germany because Japan and America (the other two most technologically advanced countries in the world) are already taken (and if they use America again I'd want them to do the West). I'm also hoping for a Pokémon Light & Darkness at some point, too.
I'm somewhat dissapointed that they used Alpha and Omega for remakes as opposed to new game titles, but Alpha Sapphire is so epic that I'm not complaining. I think a technology-based region would be a nice contrast to Alola's nature based setting, and Germany has a lot of great landmarks to use, like the Black Forest. Positive and Negative refers to the magnet/electric field duality, so that makes sense. Plus, there'd be a lot of great ways to tie the story into Kalos, as France and Germany are right next to each other in real life.
I'm a little worried that Light and Darkness are too similar to Sun and Moon to be the titles of pokemon games after my hypothetical positive and negative versions, though.
buddy there's an edit post button
also pointless thread necro
