Laconic Description Improvement

For generally accepted guidelines for laconics, see Sandbox.Laconic Wiki Template.

Today I found out an interesting fact from troper Ironeye:

Don't ever make the mistake of using the Laconic version as the canonical trope meaning—the laconics are often written by people who don't actually understand the drop. In this case, the laconic only corresponds to one possible cause of Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy.

The Laconic Description for DIAA states as follows:

The thing is, these descriptions are supposed to make it easier to understand what the page is about. If they can't be accurate as well as short and sweet, then there's a problem.

So for starters, what would be a better description for DIAA?

Oddity I think can stay since the game is not (and probably never will be) finished and plot details aren’t plentiful.

Huniepop has this-

Bejeweled except you’re trying to get laid.
And Huniepop 2 has this.
Bejeweled except you’re trying to save the galaxy from two space hookers before they go on their period by getting good at threesomes.
I wrote both and here are some replacements.
A loser gets laid using the help of a love fairy and Match-Three Game puzzle skills.
Loser turned Sex God must stop two space hookers from destroying the galaxy by getting good at Threeway Sex using Match-Three Game puzzle skills.

[up][up] Any other suggestions? Saint's Row started as a pretty blatant GTA clone, and only found its niche by getting silly as hell in later games.

[up][up] idk about that laconic, cause reading the examples and parts of the description put an emphasis on Body Horror or other biological manipulation. But I could be wrong.

Laconic.Temporary Blindness doesn't mention "for plot reasons only" but the main page says

An almost identical plot structure can be used with temporary paralysis, deafness, concussions, etc. Similar but not the same as the Status Effects, as this trope uses blindness for plot reasons.

So we should add it? Unless the trope page is wrong, and Status Effects too?

Synchronicity (4 Score & 7 Years Ago)
#2243: Dec 31st 2022 at 11:00:37 AM

[up][up]It's overly long but I have no familiarity with the work, so I wouldn't know how to shorten it. Do you have an idea?

[up]"For the plot" honestly already seems implied.

Laconic.Magical Native American is painting with an overly broad brush:
All indigenous people know magic.

It's not an All X Are Y trope; the magic in question is based around indigenous people being more "in tune" with the world than non-indigenous. Proposal:

Indigenous people have supernatural powers relating to spirituality and/or nature.

A few months back, the description of Laconic. The Danza was changed from

Character is named after the actor portraying them.

to

The character has the same first or last name as the actor portraying them.

The new one really doesn't fit, as this is not what the main page says (in fact, the first sentence is "A character whose name is clearly taken from the performer portraying them") and I think people having the same name is way too commonplace to be notable. Would it be okay to change it?

Laconic.Sliding Scale Of Realistic Versus Fantastic: Can we just cut this? The page doesn't need a Laconic, does it? Also we don't want scales anymore?

Is this just fantasy?

Laconic.Dr Jerk has this commented out note. Is it needed?

%%The unabridged version states the character can be a JerkWithAHeartOfGold. And, as SuperTrope states, JerkWithAHeartOfGold is a SubTrope of {{Jerkass}}.
