Today I found out an interesting fact from troper Ironeye:
Don't ever make the mistake of using the Laconic version as the canonical trope meaning—the laconics are often written by people who don't actually understand the drop. In this case, the laconic only corresponds to one possible cause of Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy.
The Laconic Description for DIAA states as follows:
The thing is, these descriptions are supposed to make it easier to understand what the page is about. If they can't be accurate as well as short and sweet, then there's a problem.
So for starters, what would be a better description for DIAA?

Io Game is complainy and not really descriptive of the genre. Anybody familiar enough with it to fix it?
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Glancing at the page, we suggest "Simple, addictive PVP games with high stakes and low barrier to entry."
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Good enough to me.
135 - 158 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300Laconic.Dinosaurs Are Dragons: "Why the hell is that T-Rex breathing fire?"
This explains nothing.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Well, I came up with this description.
"Dinosaurs are/act like Dragons."
Is this good, or should I change it abit.
Laconic.Subverted Suspicion Aesop doesn't seem really accurate, since the person being suspected doesn't always bother to act nice, and is probably more fitting for Evil All Along.
Maybe replace it with something like, "The character whom you prejudiced against really is as bad as you suspect"?
That could work, but I suggest reading the actual description to be sure.
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”Ok, I see
Edit: Ok, I came up with this.
"Dinosaurs have relation to Dragons and act like them."
How is it?

I reckon that the first suggestion was better. Let's use it.
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”Double post but this is important. This is the laconic for Oggy and the Cockroaches.
Tom and Jerry... taken to its logical extremes.
Up To Eleven sinkhole and not very informative.

"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”You’re a fan; you can probably fix it.
So, if we don't need much consensus, I'm updating Wicked Witch.

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportCleaned it up a bit at least. It's still lengthier than I'd like, but it's got no obviously extraneous information.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. After we cleaned it up, ~Chrononaut 70 just went and added a bunch of additional words to Laconic.Zeldas Honor... we need to have a discussion of the definition of the word "laconic".
Laconic.Percussive Shutdown is a bit unusual, but maybe it's good? What do y'all think?

Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Yeah, that troper's addition to the Zelda's Honor laconic is simply unnecessary. Since removing it would likely cause an edit war, I recommend bringing this up to Ask The Tropers so a revert is permitted.
135 - 158 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300Theoretically that ~ping should bring them here, assuming of course they aren't the kind of troper to never ever look at their DMs. Which is startlingly common.

Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. The Red Ones Go Faster laconic is just this:
ZOOM!!! ZOOM!!!
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”I like Laconic.Percussive Shutdown. Very too-the-point.
I like it, too. The only thing I would say is that it shouldn't pothole a different trope. Any Laconic that can only summarise its trope by potholing a completely different trope is not doing its job correctly.
I think the laconic will work just as well without the pothole, so it won't damage anything.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading. If I remember correctly, colored laconics cannot be edited due to the new editor and whatnot.
(Don't) take me home.Nah, we got colors back. At least some, if not all?

Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Worth observing that a Laconic that relies on colour to make its point may have accessibility issues that render it ZCE.
Colour blindness is a thing, after all.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.
- Older versions exist that are more description but removed due to length?
Maybe restore?

- Since I wasn't clear, yeah, that's a good Laconic.Wicked Witch. How much agreement do we need to change laconics?
