I have to say, it's a heck of a way to get people to pay attention to a new Mad Max movie with a new Max by having the first thing we see being the Interceptor getting blown up.

And apparently most of it is real stuntwork and driving.

Okay. We got an inscription on Max's back that his captors seem to be using as some kind of map. Where have I seen this before?

Do maps normally name a person's blood type? Because those seemed like vital statistics of the guy they captured.

/looks at trailer again/

There's quite a bit of writing there. The word "negative" may refer to blood type. But would a bunch of crazy post-apocalyptic bandits even have the necessary medical equipment to analyze blood, assuming they gave a rats ass about doing it to begin with?

[up][up][up][up]I figured as much. Looks like the deformities of the villains are practical makeup as well. The only gratuitous CG I could spot in that trailer was the dust storm, and that's the sort of thing Miller couldn't have done in the 80's, so I forgive him that indulgence.

I've never really seen the first or second Mad Max films, so I kinda feel this could have easily been a reboot or something.

I want this movie to essentially be the car chase from the Raid 2 but as an ENTIRE feature film and with even less f**ks given about sane driving practices. cool

Not gonna lie, I'm STOKED for this. Loved the original Mad Max movies.

According to this page:

Max's original Interceptor is now in a museum. It was supposed to be scrapped, but, hey, what can you do?

Nicholas Hoult looks cuckoo in this. "What a lovely, lovely day" indeed.

Here's a poser: which was the bigger Heroic Sacrifice - Max forgoing his chance to join "The Great Northern Tribe" or forgoing his chance to get Savannah Nix and company to Sydney?

Personally, to me it's the latter. Savannah needed Max more than the Tribe did, and considering Max's Back Story with losing his kid, it probably killed him to lose more kids, even if they weren't his own.

So my brain is exploding in ever greater explosiveness with each new trailer. Don't really know how I'm typing right now, but I'm guessing I'll lose the ability to even do this when I see the actual movie.

Madder than an entire gross of boxes of chocolate frogs.

But, Hollywood, tell your trailers to stop giving me orders to see your films in Three Dee. I've no intention of doing so and being told to do so is annoying, to put it mildly.

It's just so surreal seeing these trailers and the hype surrounding them because I've been looking forward to Fury Road since... 2006? 2007? After a while I just sort of moved on. Once in a blue moon I thought that if the day ever came, it would be a twee film released under the radar but holy fuck was I (happily) wrong.

When the default setting on the first movie in a prospective series is 'insane', where exactly do you go from there?

I don't know, but it'll surely lead me to a vegetative state from brain death. If, you know, my head hasn't already exploded from the first 10 minutes of the first upcoming movie.

George Miller knows how to do an action scene. Let's just leave it at that.

This film looks to be unapologetically good fun.

I have no prior interaction with the Mad Max series, but seeing the trailer attached to Age Of Ultron has actually gotten me really invested.

That looks good, but it's basically mostly stuff we've already seen in trailers.

The reviews have started trickling in and thus far they'be been uniformly excellent. Closest thing to a complaint I've seen is that some find the (apparently non-stop) action gets a bit numbing towards the end but that's about it.
