I'm sort of sad that I brought up skyrim now. I just meant that the games get better. structure wise it would be better to look at FO 3. Most quests could be completed multiple ways. Branching lines so some quests would cut-off others and some decent companions. FNV had a better system for checks and a much better story but the style is damn near exact. I don't see why they'd change it. FNV was a huge success commercially and critically so there's no reason to rock the boat.
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote?I've yet to play Skyrim, but I've heard lots about it that was mostly positive.
I could go with a larger gameworld this time around, though. 3 and NV seemed a bit cramped after a bit, what with the 15x15 kilometer (or was it miles) box they set you in. Yes, interior exploration adds lots of detail, but the fact remains that it was still set in a small box. 1 and 2 were larger - but less cluttered.
But I think we'll have a game that's better than 3, at any rate. I'm holding out some hole that Bethesda has learned a thing or two about Fallout over the last few years and will apply those learned lessons when making 4. Even if they don't nail it perfectly, I'm sure it'll be better than 3 was. And since I sunk bunches of hours into 3, I'll be fine with that.
(Just don't expect me to pay 60 bucks and pre-order it or something.)

XBOX: Turn on. XBOX: On. XBOX: Buy me a PS 4
If everyone says it sucks, then I'll buy it a couple months after it got released. I don't want to waste 60 on something below average!

Bethesda's had it reserved for a few years, actually. They may just be reserving it for the time being while they weigh their options.
I remember a bunch of us talking about it on the official forums a couple years back.
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.I hope they've got a highly updated next gen engine for this game. Anything with a bizarrely form-fitting cape in Skyrim made me want to fold blankets.
They'll turn your world aroundMmm...I was thinking, since Fallout 4 looks like it's about to be announced and I just got Retro City Rampage, maybe a pre-war Fallout game, sorta GTA-style would be good. But it'd be an open world/sandbox and full-blown rpg with character customization, dialogue trees and branching story goodness like the rest of the series. Uh...Maybe not actually like GTA at all. >.> But you know, set in sort of a "big city, big life" metropolis full of crime and corruption.
Tactics is already canon...well semi-canon unless you mean you want to know specifics.

The most impressive and creative thing (at least from a scripting standpoint) was the Civil War truce meeting in the main quest. Although you'll probably only see it happen one way on a single playthrough it's surprisingly dynamic.
