after a lengthy game of cat and mouse, the heroine detective and her trusty partner have finally tracked down the serial killer's apparent lair, and together, they search the place, apparently empty

but as they do, the detective stumbles across a missed clue that contradicts everything her investigation has uncovered - before she can point this out to her partner, a panicked phone call arrives, and as she listens in silence, it becomes all too clear as she slowly connects the dots to find the truth

what were light-hearted blunders she realises were intricate manoeuvres to hinder
sudden bursts of investigative insight become calculated nudges to the right direction
lengthy absences, once passed off as oversleeping or laziness, were but masks for the terrible deeds done in their duration

The opening credits of a nature documentary. As the music becomes more intense, the topic becomes about how vital species are often hunted, leaving their prey to become overpopulated. It ends with a segue into the documentary itself, which regards the things that can be done to stop it.

Our heroes get into a fight with a robotic Evil Diva who assaults them with Freaky Electronic Music-powered sonic attacks.

The Twilight Zone (1959) OST:

A hiker steps between two trees and finds himself... somewhere else. At first glance, it's no different from the forest he was just in aside from the sunset when it's supposed to be broad daylight. As he steps out of the grove, though, he finds he's on a hill overlooking a twilit swamp. He begins to wander, though is always careful to keep the grove in sight. As the light fades, the swamp is shown to have many beautiful sights of its own. Colorful lights shine from the strangest places and odd creatures move to and fro. It doesn't really seem to be a bad place, so he ventures on. This might just be the escape from his mundane life that he was looking for.

The theme of a starter town with your usual of a shop, bar, mayors office.

the bouncer nods as they burst into the local club uninvited, confronting and surrounding our dear heroes - they're here to throw down, and the dj ain't gonna miss this

It is the Final Battle, and our heroes' forces are fighting to stop the Big Bad from activating a Doomsday Device that will cause a catastrophe of unprecedented scope. The Hero fights desperately to prevent the weapon from being activated, but fails. With no way to shut it down, she rips out the artifact used to power it up with her bare hands, channeling its cosmic energies to push her own powers to their limit and beyond. She then destroys the weapon and reverses the damage it has caused, even as her body literally breaks apart due to the power she wields. In the end she collapses, having saved the world at the cost of her own life.

The hero approaches the villain, ready to fight them. However, rather than initiate a battle, the villain instead performs a Breaking Speech. While they try to deny the villain at first, the hero slowly begins to question the morality of everyone involved, and doubt whether they've been doing the right thing. As the tension raises, the villain drops a very important reveal that is so shocking to the hero, that they fall into a Heroic BSoD.

after a hard day's work with her ever-so-refined yet kindly swordmaster teacher, unrivalled in his craft, at last, they set their swords at the table, and the master calls for a lone toast between him and his student, celebrating the end, and yet beginning, of her journey, with a bottle of his finest

that is, until the master takes up his blade instead of a swig, catching his student by surprise in one final duel, a test of everything she has learnt

she is barely able to keep up, but soon, she falls into the proper forms by habit drilled into her over hundreds of failures
in a steady rhythm, she matches her master, who fights with grace as always, his cup in his off-hand not even spilling a drop

however, only 50 seconds into their duel, she finds herself suddenly losing ground - her forms, her memorised techniques made unconscious and habitual, suddenly useless, as the master twirls into a flurry of unfamiliar techniques: a form he had never taught her

she almost despairs as she is soundly beaten in 30 seconds, her teacher barely concealing a smirk as he turns to take a sip - clearly believing he has won, the pace of their fight slowing

but she doesn't give up
for in the back of her mind, memories, deeply buried, of her first days of training, and the sleepless nights that followed, all come back to her
she has seen this form before - he had used this very form to humiliate her, to humble her as she foolishly challenged him, immature as she was

she was that girl no longer
the smirk on his face disappears as he finds his techniques countered - no, predicted, anticipated
for she had spent countless nights since that day, almost forgotten, studying how she had been beaten, and training specifically to counter every move used to humble her
such that if he ever tried such a cruel trick again, she'd be ready

and she was ready
in less than a minute, she had regained her lost ground - and gained it twicefold against her master, and soon, he was the one against the wall, his smirk no longer one of condescension
but admiration

his grip slips on his cup
it falls
a blade extends

and she catches the cup on the flat of her blade - the very first trick he had ever used to impress her, not losing a single drop, the fruit of two years of secret, nightly practice
can't let that liquor go to waste

her master finally concedes with a smile

and she takes her first swig of a hard-earned victory

It is the epilogue of the story. The heroes have triumphed, life has returned to normal, and their experiences have forged lifelong bonds between them. As the credits roll, we see a montage of the main characters enjoying themselves and palling around, ending on a group picture of them smiling together.

Our party of adventurers is captured by an army of robotic soldiers, and brought to a military base where the troops scurry about industriously, preparing for another encounter with the opposing army of machines.

The Grand Budapest Hotel OST:

A monster has gotten loose in a castle. Our stealthy protagonist, unable to fight the creature or even attempt escape without giving away his position, opts to spy on it from the hiding places he's found within the castle. When he realizes that the monster is trying to summon an army of its own kind, he rigs up a message rocket to fly off on a delayed fuse. That way the monster will only react to it when he's well away and will still be too late to stop the protagonist's warning from getting out.

Ori and the Blind Forest OST — Escaping the Ruins

The protagonist has discovered the ruins of an ancient city. As he's taking it all in, a sentinel reactivates and starts chasing him. He nimbly hops between crumbling pillars to escape the sentinel's grasp.

The perspective, which stays on a picture of a man and his wife for most of the story, pans over to the woman and the boy, revealing that both of them are manticores.

The villain has succeeded. The world has been remade, and nothing will be the same again. When the heroine, devastated, confronts him about the enormity of his act, he reveals to her that his true motivation has always been the betterment of the world, and confesses that despite his determination to accomplish this goal, he still harbors some doubt about the righteousness of his actions. Having bared his soul to her, he offers her some small consolation by telling her that she may kill him if she wishes.

However, his speech has shaken the heroine's convictions, and she is unable to take his life. Realizing their mutual uncertainty, the two enemies decide to simply sit down, and enjoy a quiet truce as they watch the sun rise on a new world.

A man goes to the house of his late grandpa and gets flashbacks to his times with him as he rediscover more and more of the old home
