The Last Days Of FOXHOUND

I thought it was a pretty good comic. I liked it a lot. Shame it was cancelled though.

One idea I had was that I was going to ask the creator for permission to start a comic "The Last Days Of SNAKEHOUND" about the B&B unit from MGS 4. I never got around to it, and 2014 isn't that far away now. It would have dealt with some of the retcons in 4 and Peace Walker, and Rising if that hadn't been moved to a point in the timeline after 4.

I started out with the idea of Psycho Mantis, in the body of Screaming Mantis, and discovering that he was both a woman and a ghost now. The rest of the ideas mostly wrote themselves. Sadly, work, family, and other things came up, and I was unable to contact Chris Doucette, and neither was I able to write the comic. I thought my ideas were good ones though. Fairly good ones. Ish.

So. Has anyone else read this comic? Did anyone else like it, or have dumbass ideas like mine?

It didn't get cancelled, it ended.

It was a great comic though. Funny to see how much becomes wrong when Metal Gear Solid 4 arrives.

But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you.

[up] Even funnier how many things it got right though.

Yeah, cancelled is the wrong word to use. Sorry.

I still occasionally archive binge this comic. Loved the original run. The author did say that he wanted to end it before MGS 4 came out and he had to ret-con more stuff though.

Heh, I loved this comic. Made me laugh my ass off. If you're interested in more stuff by this author, check Demon Thesis.

This was one of the first webcomics I ever started reading regularly, the first webcomic where I ever got published in a mailbag, the first webcomic I ever dropped (Because they began a MGS 3 story arc and I didn't want spoilers) and probably the first webcomic that was based on an existing franchise that wasn't sprite-based I ever read.

Good times.

You are not alone.

Man, even now I still nearly bust my guts at rereading some of the more hilarious moments in this comic.

I know the art is shitty as hell, but I still like the jokes, especially those involving Mantis and Ocelot. [tup]

I especially liked the scene where the gang are trying to come to grips with the fact that the so-far-quite-incompetent Liquid has somehow managed to trouce (in Raven's words) the Cyborg-Fucking-Ninja both barehanded and with a fatal front-to-back wound in his torso. Man, I love Raven's line there.

And the comedy-gold mine that is FOXHOUND laughing their asses at watching Major Ocelot making his silly feline call to his Ocelot Unit commandos was memorable, too.

There's also Ocelot and Wolf's sniping competition. And Berthold's threats of ball consumption towards Mantis.

Mantis and Ocelot taking each other on was always awesome. Gotta love moments like "I will find your mother's grave and fuck her corpse!" or Ocelot making Mantis pay him for the please of knocking Mantis out.

Sweet. It will be nice to see the strips again, although I have to admit that I kind of had the VA's in my head doing the lines anyways for the most part ... it made Vulcan Raven a lot funnier.

Oh man... I saw this thread updated and was kinda hoping he was doing a sequel or something.

Still a fan dub is nice...

I have been dealing with so many Webcomics on daily basis but there is no denying, Foxhound is like a proud possession of childhood. I remember it as the first tale of awesomeness :) [tup][tup] Double thumbs up grin
