You used it specifically to insult Sword Art Online. I can't see any other way to read your actions. Someone said "oh, this is popular, like SAO" and then you argued that it's completely different because of some arbitrary gut feeling you have that SAO has few female fans. Which... isn't even relevant to the point about it being popular in the first place, but sounds mostly like an insult because of your past history of bragging about SNK.

???
You're trying to open an imaginary can of worms. And I ain't interested in helping you close it.
Besides, don't you have finals? Shouldn't you be studying instead of starting fights with people on the internet?

Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.Well, personally I was perfectly willing to leave it at what I said I'd leave it at, but then you opened it back up again by completely refusing to understand what I and a couple of others in the thread have tried to tell you. I'll to leave it at that again, because you're right, I should be studying.

OH FOR PETE'S SAKE. Why on earth do you need a mod to come in here and tell you that sometimes you need to walk away from the computer and take a couple of deep breaths before you react to something?
At some point in life you have to start monitoring your own behavior, rather than relying on others to do it for you. Why not start now?

That aside, same thing applies here — if you don't like a show that has a divisive fanbase, you're entitled to your opinion, just don't really ruin it for everyone else.
Surprisingly, AoT almost resulted in another case of Hype Backlash for me until I did see that first episode. It's not the greatest thing ever, but it is up there and I hope Funi picks up the dub rights. Same with The Devil is a Part-Timer, but I'll give that more praise as good romcoms are uncommon (though the action helps).

At least on 4chan, that was really a Vocal Minority that was comparing it to SAO for some reason.
T_T If they were comparing to SAO for positive reasons (like ya know... more than 30k average sales in blu-dvds), I wouldn't mind and it's funny when they act like SAO's a flop financially.
But, they're using SAO as negative comparison - the overhyped show that failed to meet its hype.
Which is "annoying" because prior to the premiere, Titans was being compared to Deadman Wonderland.
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.
SAO is hated on /a/, but I don't think they say it was a flop financially.
Wow, this thread really launched into a flamewar after I bumped it. Anyway...
I can't really justify comparing Devil Survivor to The Unlimited, since they're not really all that similar. Maybe they just seem alike because I don't watch that kind of show very often.
I admit, AoT did feel dramatic around the end of the first episode. It was only afterward that the scenery-chewing overwhelmed everything else for me. If you want another bizarre comparison, the general scenario and tone, upcoming spoilers, and the fact that it's a crazy-popular show I don't have much interest in remind me of Battlestar Galactica Reimagined. People have been comparing Gargantia to Battlestar, but I don't see any similarities there beyond the Space Opera theme. Go figure.

Well, I dunno. I used to like Madoka, Maoyuu, Geass (though now I find it childish), Ghost in the Shell, Persona 4, Psycho Pass, Fate Zero... And I'm a huge brony... So, I guess, I like maturity and drama, but I also love humour and cuteness? Like, Kaiba? That one was great.
Hm, let me see... I tried to like but couldn't the Monogatari because I find it exhausting to watch. Usually stuff by shaft is right out; too much fanservice, too much True Art, Madoka being the exception, Vampire Bund being a salient example of what I don't want.
I really really dislike in-your-face fanservice and any and all forms of lolicon bait.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
No, he was answering my question about his preferences.
EDIT: Derp, I forgot the follow up. Uhh, let's see, Handle, you might wanna try out:
- Red Data Girl: The first three episodes feel like Twenty Minutes with Boring Or Annoying Characters Ripped From Bad Shojo, but it's building up a good atmosphere. It's fairly straightforward too.
- Maybe Valvrave? Made by the same guys who did Geass, and has a similar ambiance of stupid but entertaining.'
- Karneval: Decent action fantasy show with lots of bishies.
- Arata Kangatari: Mediocre action fantasy show. Actually, just avoid this (so much for a rec!).
- Yahari blah blah blah: I suppose I could also recommend this. It doesn't really have fanservice from what I remember, and the protagonist has interesting observations on society.

Justify my fandom?
WTF are you talking about now?
I'm just describing what (I think) are the gender proportions of certain fandoms.
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.
