On TV Tropes, it's very common for editors to misuse appearance tropes, as well as tropes whose names make them sound like they could be appearance tropes.
Meaningful Appearance tropes are often misused in ways that overlook the "Meaningful" aspect, resulting in Zero Context Examples and misuse in the form of examples that have no meaning even if the tropes themselves are not People Sit on Chairs.
The Appearance Tropes Cleanup sandbox covers tropes with potential issues. Tropes that simply require cleanup will go through this thread, while tropes that require more significant action will have to go through the Trope Repair Shop.
April 2, 2023 update: This thread is no longer for making changes to tropes, and was brought back from the Projects Morgue solely for cleanup. Making changes to tropes is still a job for the Trope Repair Shop.

Took a stab at rewriting Windows To The Soul as Color Coded Eyes
Thoughts?
I mostly stripped out all the elemental talk, and focused on the personality or story telling purpose of the colors.

I like it too. In the crowner, I think it should be "Rewrite Windows To The Soul with this draft (insert link). So we have
- 1. "Rewrite Windows To The Soul with this draft (insert link) and rename to Color-Coded Eyes (or something else).
- 2 "Merge Windows To The Soul and Windows of the Soul
- 3 Rename Only Windows To The Soul
- 4 Rename Only Windows of the Soul
- 5 Rename both Only Windows To The Soul and Only Windows of the Soul
- 6 Cut Windows To The Soul
- 7 Cut Windows of the Soul

Everyone agrees that something has to be done so we could do without. And the draft is good
Macron's notesOkay, I made the crowner. The link is here: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/crowner.php/PageAction/WindowsToTheSoul2?open=all#jfez1w0p
I've seen the request to attach this crowner, but as there is no notification on Windows of the Soul I'd like to remove the options pertaining to that trope before attaching it.

Link to TRS threads in project mode here. Can I edit Color Coded Eyes to remove sentence fragments in the initial description?
There are a few works (I am thinking of The Breadwinner or Memoirs of a Geisha here) where in a work with no supernatural content, the main character will have an eye color that exists in real life but is basically impossible for the character's ethnicity, as a way of denoting "this person is special and the main character" or to make them more relatable to western audiences. Would this fit in with this trope?
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"Sorry to jump the gun here, but what is Heroes Want Redheads about? Is it just a Tropes in Aggregate about the overrepresentation of redheads in fiction? Because reading the description, there are some issues:
it is something to look into later. It just seems to be redheaded love interest. It would make more sense if there was a history of a certain character dating redheads but I dont know how common that is
oh I meant for it to be moved to the main namespace since trying to do that redirects you to TLP. I don't know how things work now exactly because I have been gone for a long time.
We could run a crowner for alt titles
Macron's notesBUMB! Do we need to add an alt-names crowner or are we find with Color-Coded Eyes?

I think maybe before the crowner that way we wont stall out
