Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.
For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages

Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues
thread.

Today's worklist:
- The Chart Show S 4 E 2: The formatting is still bad.
- Laughably Easy Achievement: Still need a rename.
- VideoGame.Yu Yu Gi Digi Moon: A misnamespaced page by ~Ford 1114; the namespace is not appropriate and I don't have enough content to kick it to Creator.Ford1114.
Non Archenemy Series Finale was launched today despite only having one hat and no discussion since July 2013.
There might be a trope there, where a series' main recurring villain is already out of the picture by the final installment - perhaps as a subtrope of Anti-Climax - but it's a bit sketchy as written.
^ Burn Non Archenemy Series Finale.
There was no interest in it in YKTTW, so I see no point in sending it back to languish again, and many of the examples don't really fit; either the character listed is simply prominent in the hero's Rogues Gallery (The Joker, Rene Belloq); he's simply a recurring villain but there never was one single "archenemy" (Blofeld was not-in far more Bond movies than he was in: There were 23 movies from Eon; Blofeld was in 5 of them, with one other character who may have been him but it's never stated clearly. In only three of the ones that he is in does Blofeld not share "main antagonist" rank with another villain; ); or they're dead before the Finale (The Governor in The Walking Dead); or they'd been replaced as the main villain well before the finale (Chuck, The Walking Dead, Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles)

Today's worklist:
- 'Magical Chaser: Stardust of Dreams: Stub article; creator messaged.
- Non Archenemy Series Finale: Cut.
- Zashiki-warashi: Needs still work done on it.
Missed another page:
- Welsh Literature: Stubby index by ~TrustBen.
Welsh Literature is a subindex of British Literature. I found it as a red link. What would be some good ways to fix it?
Thanks for the Word of Mod, Madrugada; Non Archenemy Series Finale is on the cutlist as of a few minutes ago.
Two new stub articles:
- Johnny Clegg: Creator messaged.
- Regular Car Reviews: Creator messaged.
There's a thread for asking for people to review your YKTTW and possibly give it hats, but I can't remember the title and site search isn't helping.
I've taken them to the YKTTW workstation thread but no one's saying anything there. I have seven examples each, a clear title and a decent description. They're just missing their hats. Would they be premature and sent back if I launched them now?
Today's worklist notes first off that Laughably Easy Achievement still needs renaming. I also received no commentary on Yu Yu Gi Digi Moon.
Otherwise:
- The Beast: Stub article; creator messaged.
- Grey: Stub article; creator messaged.
- Stay The Fanfic: Stub article; creator messaged.
- Wedlock: Stub article; creator messaged.
I created Effortless Achievement page and soon I'll put the old page on the cutlist. However, I'm not sure I'll manage to crosswick it properly. My laptop is not in the very best form...
Does anyone else have something to say about Welsh Literature?
Worklist:
- Brick Mansions: Stub article; creator messaged.
- Epic Loads: Insufficient examples; creator messaged.
- Myriad Song: Mostly ZCE; creator messaged.
- A New World, A New Way: Stub article; creator messaged.
- Only Lovers Left Alive: Stubby and without a proper description, by ~~bikergeek66
Description should include
- Why it is separate from British Literature (linking UsefulNotes.Britain Versus The UK)
- What the area of Wales is, and what genres are common to the country
- Works in addition to Creators
- British Lit index
- everything British Lit is indexed on (except England-specific pages)

Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Uh, yeah, that would be a good work to implement.
Anyhoo, based upon an Ask The Tropers complaint yesterday, I would like to ask for some advice about messaging editors with problematic page creations. Many of them have more than one problem and need several messages at once (using the automatic messages), plus some people could become discouraged if they receive a message in mid of page work. Could this approach of mine be improved somehow in the public's opinion?
Worklist as always:
- The D-Pad: The Legendary Let's Play: A somewhat stubby (lots of Zero Context Examples) and ill-formatted article by ~rickied.
- Fuuka: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Green Bird: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Inferno Unleashed: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- World Net Daily: Technically, they only expanded it much, but it's a bit stubby still.
On principle alone, I want to nuke WND. It's flamebait, as anyone who has anything nice to say about it is going to be... well, "fringe" is a gross understatement. And even discussing it civilly will make someone sound like they're bashing it because it's such an insane site.
Regarding D-Pad: I'm for giving them a bit more time, but I think they should get a PM about putting things on the appropriate page (and a gentle reminder that, even if they put a banner up top, they don't have unlimited time to do the basic setup of a page).
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Septimus: I'd say that before messaging, at least check the page's history. If really recent edits show, or the page is very recently created, send them at most one message, maybe with links to relevant pages, or one from the new options that addresses the worst problem(s). (I'm thinking six hours or less at the moment. That can be tweaked.) I won't say see if they're checked out for editing; if you get someone like me, who usually does one to a half-a-dozen quick fixes at a time, you might not hit the page at the right moment to catch the editing going on.
The longer the page goes without cleanup, the more the person might need a nudge or three to comply with wiki standards.
Any word on the tech tweak to send first-time editors to an instruction page or some such? I can't help thinking a variation, to encourage first-time work page creators to use a Sandbox or YKTTW, might be useful. I have no idea if that'd be practical or doable, though.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettToday's review is up. I was delayed by college work, image editing and trying to fill in for Willbyr.
List:
- The Beast: A stub article, but the crosswicks may suffice for making a working page.
- Recap.Captain Underpants: ~NES Boy created a bunch of near-empty recap pages, in the wrong namespace too.
- D.N.A.: Dark Native Apostle: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Lumberjanes: Stubby article; creator messaged.
- Mr Selfridge: Stubby article; creator messaged.
- Stay The Fanfic: That needs some crossreferencing.
- Super Fighters: Created by ~Nega Scott 128, it's no longer so stubby, but it needs indexing and crosswicking and less Zero Context Examples.
Any word on the tech tweak to send first-time editors to an instruction page or some such?
We already have such a thing, but it doesn't cover page creation specifically. Anyhow, while an alert for new page creators to index and crosswick their pages would be useful, it definitively can't be restricted to new editors.
On the suggestion to send just one message, I'll think about it.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanToday's worklist:
- Kinnie Starr/Kinnie Starr by ~shamblingdead, it needs some agreement on where it should go. And it needs indexing.
- The Sacrament: Stubby work page; creator messaged.
Also, the problem with finding a list of newly created is on again, given that it's the 1st of a month. Maybe I should ask for a more suitable list...
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI used to think you found them the same way I do: checking the Recent Page type changes and Un-Typed pages tools.

I see. Thank you .
