TLP Crash Rescue - Fixing prematurely launched TLPs and pages

I think I've run across a Web Animation namespace on occasion. Would that work, or would Website be better?

• BIBLE: Apparently, I was wrong - the acronym is the actual title.
• British Nazis: Are we settled on cutting this page? According to its description, it's about any people who can't be Nazis in context. Which means that on top of the poor example quality, there is a bad title there - both reasons for cutting.
• Killer Species: Stub work page; creator messaged.
• Mythology Porn: Still the question about Mythology Gag.
• Ones World: Stub work page; creator messaged.
• Too Many Curses: Stub work page; creator messaged.
• Wringing Hands Of Nervousness: I have to ask, was the creator messaged.
• You Know Nothing About X: Hrmm ... that YKTTW could use an actual title for the trope. Right now, it looks more like a TRS thread than a YKTTW.

Anyone else have thoughts on Mistaken for Foreigner?

No cross-wicking other than indexes, which is convenient if we unlaunch it.

You don't? I think it's an excellent idea. That shows that no, it's not just one person being picky, it's several people noting they are not following guidelines.

I think it would help if they knew about the thread. They could be referred to Ask the Tropers (which some don't seem to know about) as a general resource, and relevant pages for why they aren't doing the work right. I wonder how many know of the Sandbox namespace? Some of these pages would have done better to start out there until they were better constructed.

[[Lotsof Luggage|Lots of Luggage]] was launched early, and still has a lot of issues that imho are just inherent. Really don't think that it's tropeworthy, it's way too niche and doesn't really bring any literature/fiction/etc. writing elements to attention. This isn't the first time it was launched early either, unfortunately.

The YKTTW is https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/discussion.php?id=iwi1ov49il9vwcsywqpx7189 here, and it still isn't doing well and only has 2 hats. I and multiple other tropers believe that it just does not need a page here, so I'm under the impression that someone launched it without getting significant consensus.

I do not usually reference this topic in the messages about crosswicking and the like because they aren't issues that are typically discussed here (I only bring stubs and repeat offenders here). I guess it could be a good idea, though.

So, worklist:

• The Fic May Be Yours, but the Trope Page Is Ours: I have to wonder what the procedure is for proposing an Administrivia page rename.
• The Head Body Adventures Of Danny: Messaged the account, they said that they have given up on the work, so I'll go and cutlist that page.
• Lots of Luggage: That was launched nearly a year ago. And it's picked up enough wicks and inbounds that I would consider any fix TRS work.
• Mark Levin: My main question is whether we should leave the page under that title and in the Creator/ namespace, or if we should put it under Radio.The Mark Levin Show as a work page.
• Mythology Porn: Still need some consensus.
• Small Soldiers: A disambiguation for games that don't have their pages yet. I am inclined to cut.
• The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show: Stub work page; creator messaged.
• OOC.Wars Of Equestria: This seems to be a page listing interpretations of a character by individual creators.
• What Do You Mean, It's Not Cosmetic?: Comments?

If I am understanding the rules of TRS correctly, then it's out of the question until its cleaned up of threads that were supposed to have been resolved months ago. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

TRS has a limit of 100 threads. No new ones can be made until older ones are cleared out.

Lots of Luggage is fine. Its significance is well established, and it's hardly too "niche" considering the amount of examples. The only issues were brought up by Madrugada, and looking at the page now, they've been dealt with. The only other issues were brought up, you know, a year after launch.

Asking Fast Eddie and the mods how to go about it, making a good case for why?

Mark Levin is also an author and has contributed commentary to various outlets. (Going off the Google results and Wikipedia here.) A Creator page, possibly soft-split if needed, would provide the better foundation for allowing the various tropes to be listed at this time. If it expands sufficiently, hard splits or work pages can be made as needed.

What Do You Mean, It's Not Cosmetic?: Needs a better title and a better description. (Isn't that a dialoguey title, or am I misunderstanding what that means?) Example Indentation problems, I spot an instance of thread mode, a general example "("Many MMORP Gs"), inconsistent italicization of work titles, and someone didn't check the formatting on the Borderlands 2 entry.

The Star Ocean entries are perfect. But overall, the page is not up to standards.

Small Soldiers: That is terrible. And if we had a Small Soldiers disamg page, it'd also need to take into account Film.Small Soldiers.

OOC.Wars Of Equestria: Wouldn't that be better suited for the forums, or at least Just For Fun?

I'd love to help out with carrying out what TRS threads have decided, but I am really afraid of breaking something. Yes, I'm a chicken.

So, today's worklist:

• Go Animate: This site is not a Web Animation proper, but a tool to make it, so it would go to Website/ in my estimate.
• Mark Levin: That seems like a good case for a Creator/ move; I'll probably do so today.
• Mistaken for Foreigner: Seems like a case for TRS. That said, I think we need a better way to deal with YKTTW procedure breakers.
• Prin Pardus: I really don't like that we don't have some guideline for such pages. The lack of namespacing and indexing is bad, too.
• Small Soldiers: I'll leave this out here for a while, then cutlist if the pages don't get made.
• OOC.Wars Of Equestria: I am very inclined to delete.
• What Do You Mean, It's Not Cosmetic?: I'll see about putting this into TRS.

Prin Pardus: I think the basic rules for work pages -a good description and a minimum of three filled-out applicable tropes- should be noted apply to Creator pages as well. The formatting and wiki style ones should definitely apply right now, because of the "make the wiki look consistent" thing.

While scouring the page type log, I've found a few more stubby work pages in wrong namespaces: Bz Flag, Heartstring Bugs, Hiccups, JEN Zii H, Kideo TV, Maakies, Mama Niedzwiedzica (which also seems to be written in Polish), Paladins and River God.

Some new pages:

• Messy Room: Stub trope without examples and without any capitalization. Strangely, their other edits aren't bad capital letter wise.
• My Big, Big Friend: Long page but without trope examples; messaged.
• Sonic The Sparrowhog Series: Long page but without trope examples; messaged.

Today's worklist is mostly old business, although with two new items:

• Godzilla: Gangsters and Goliaths: Stubby work page; creator messaged.
• Mistaken for Foreigner: I would ask for an unlaunch, myself. Then relaunch under a better title and cut the old page.
• Mythology Porn: I am guessing that we are leaving this alone?
• Noble Confederate Soldier: New trope made without YKTTW, indexing or crosswicking. And without meaningful namespacing.
• Wringing Hands Of Nervousness: That could use being run through YKTTW, but it'd have to be cut beforehand.
• You Know Nothing About X: Seems like we can wait for the YKTTW to conclude.

You Know Nothing About X: I believe we still must cut it as the revamped YKTTW covers the situation that prompts the Stock Phrase and not the stockphrase itself, and it also has a different name.

@Shanghai: You'll have more luck with a cut request happening after you've launched the new page, I suspect.

Also, two other items on the worklist:

Mythology Porn is already covered by two existing pages and needs to go, as I remember.

• Adam Carolla: I have to wonder whether this page is better off as a redirect to its work rather than its own page.
• Everybody Speaks English In The Future: Another stub trope.
• Korosus Ronpa: A very stubby (and strange) page.

Everybody Speaks English In The Future: A workable trope idea. The current trope description is usable (English conquers all), but only part of the whole where the idea is concerned. The other part is that the language would be recognizable as English, considering how different English English and American English alone have become, much less other languages and dialects.

There's also how language is a part of a culture's heritage, and how English tends to assimilate words from other languages.

If it's not already covered by a Time Travel/Language Trope or something, it's worth kicking to YKTTW for development.

OK; today I have exhausted myself with page type changes. So I'll have to pospone these entries - and I am getting the feeling that some of them aren't getting enough input to be effectively processed.

• Back To His Native Strand: A whole story excerpt (?), but no trope list.
• Mythology Porn: Hrrmm ... poorly done as it is, I am starting to get doubts that it's actually covered by Mythology Gag.
• Notebook.Sonzai: Apparently, some "aid page" for a roleplay.
