Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.
For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages
. Launches
Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues
thread.

Has Presumed Flop been stealth launched?
The last comment on the draft is a question about whether it's trivia or YMMV, then it was suddenly launched. On the live Discussion Page, the trope launcher (who adopted it because it had been inactive) asks about it needing to be Trivia. Someone else asks about it needing to be YMMV. It's now been made YMMV, but this issue was raised and clearly not resolved during the draft stage. Yet another troper has gone through the description fixing it to make it work-neutral instead of film-specific (something that was pointed out needed doing on the draft, but which clearly was never addressed). Other tropers have also been fixing the formatting of examples on the live page, something that also should have been done during the draft stage, surely?
So, it's definitely been launched with problems and feels like it's still being treated like a draft even though it's now live.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading. My first thought was "just holler the post and say that they were rogue launched", but then I realized that it would probably piss off The Powers That Be.
I monitor this thread but I'm not sure if there's an absolute agreement on stealth launches. Standard practice is to page the users who did it and ask them to participate in this thread. I can unlaunch them, no problem.
Edit: Sonic Shockwave was unlaunched but appears to have been edited post-launch (or not; it's redlinking now). I unlaunched Presumed Flop.

Got it. I'll do that in future. Paging ~magnumtropus to flag the unlaunch of Presumed Flop.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Hi. got the memo.
Regarding Presumed Flop, I actually did give the 24 hour launch notice two days ago.
In this case the issue is more...
- Discussion on the Draft Must be Complete: By "complete" we mean that there are no major unaddressed issues with the draft. While it isn't always possible to address every single issue that every single person brings up, you do have to make a good-faith effort at least give a satisfactory response to all concerns.
Was Cuckoo Finger Twirl stealth launched? I don't recall seeing a notice. Also, the sponsor never addressed my concerns that the quote doesn't illustrate anything...
My musician pageIt had a notice to launch today in the title, and I think the quote works for helping explain what the gesture means.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Alright, though I still needed to get rid of a pothole there, despite telling the sponsor specifically to remove them.
My musician pageUmmmm, was Demographic-Dissonant Crossover a stealth launch? I haven't heard about it since this morning and it just launched.
Then again I wasn't on TV Tropes for a few hours so it might've gotten a title notice by then. I'm just making sure since from what I heard stealth launching is against the rules.
CG for shortIt looks like the sponsor mentioned the desire to launch in a comment on July 1st, but never actually made an official launching announcement.
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite. No, it was the sponsor. You just need to look at the recent launches
list.

Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallOh okay, thanks for the tip. Sooo, anyway, it's a late stealth launch since it was mentioned in the comments that it'll they want to launch on July 1st (not officially announce it). From what I read on this thread (I got a little curious), the usual procedure is to unlaunch it and give a notice to the sponsor. IDK how to unlaunch a launched draft, but I can message the sponsor.
EDIT: I messaged the sponsor about it. I think we should somewhat take it easy on them since they might've gotten quite busy by the time July 1st rolled around, forgot about the draft, found it again and realized they haven't launched it, so they went to launch it.

CG for shortDemographic-Dissonant Crossover has some overlap with Story-Breaker Team-Up.
Some of the examples from the latter can be moved to the former, especially if both original works share the same mood in general.

Kirby is awesome. The given distinction is that the new trope isn't just for different tones, but different age demographics. I kind of see it as a subtrope.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
From the description of Story-Breaker Team-Up:
In that case, that paragraph should be replaced with a link to Demographic-Dissonant Crossover and examples that belong to the new trope should be moved there if it has to do with demographics rather than mood.
Do you agree?

Kirby is awesome.
That works out.
Okay, a little update about the Demographic-Dissonant Crossover sponsor. They replied to me saying that they weren't aware of the rule against stealth launches and were in fact busy during July 1st. They also said they'll try to not make the mistake again.
CG for shortGeneric Doomsday Alien was quietly launched with a net two hats.
Personally I don't see how it's distinct from Aliens Are Bastards, which isn't linked anywhere in the description or even the TLP.

I noticed that quite a large number of examples in Story-Breaker Team-Up are also in Demographic-Dissonant Crossover.
It would be great to go through both tropes to clean them out.
By the way, I have also mentioned copyright and trademark issues regarding Demographic-Dissonant Crossover.

Kirby is awesome.Unlaunched Generic Doomsday Alien. ~adblue, you are not allowed to launch a trope in this condition with no warning.

This is what I meant:
The copyright and trademark part was added by me in Demographic-Dissonant Crossover
Kirby is awesome.

Well, we got two stealth launches for today. Is there gonna be an addressing of this?
