Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.
For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages
. Launches
Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues
thread.

Ah well, it'll bump this thread more for the mods to notice, so it's cool.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallI just unlaunched it and suspended the launcher.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Are we doing anything about Dressed In Element?
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.I do hope that those two drafts get put on hold if necessary. As for Dressed In Element, I don't know if it needs to be unlaunched, at the very least the other tropes are now mentioned in description.
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)
It should be unlaunched primarily for being underbaked and rushed. It needs more time in the oven.
Quick question: can Hide Your Otherness be part of Appearance Angst?
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaI'd say so, yeah.
~Heavy Metal Hermit Crab, what say you?
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallCan someone make sense of The Elites Jump Ship title?
I wish it's called "The Elites Abandon The Commoners" instead
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaTo "jump ship" is a fairly common idiom for getting the hell out. Maybe not common enough, though.
Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.I did post once that the title could be improved but the comment was either ignored or unnoticed.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallAre we going to look into this
or not?
You folks keep acting as if some action is expected. Please don't link to a sandbox. Just say which launches have consensus to send back in a clear post.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"
Many of us agree to send Dressed In Element back for being undercooked if it hasn't been too long since the launch point to do so; I've personally been requesting these two
drafts
get put on hold for reasons better explained in earlier posts here, but to sum it up, both have an absurd amount of hats for drafts people generally agree shouldn't be launched until they get some major work done on them, and I want to ensure that work gets done. Spring Break Plot has a lot of consensus to hold on the draft itself.

Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallWas Dressed In Element rogue-launched, and if so by whom (forgot to note it before unlaunching)? I've sent it back, and I locked those other two.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"It wasn't rogue launched, it was prematurely launched by the sponsor.
Edit: Spring Break Plot is good, but it doesn't look like The Good Unfavorite was locked.

Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper Wall@ Sequel Adaptation Iconic Villain
The concept sounds too specific and most examples are from films. That sounds alarming, yes?
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenza
Not really. Some tropes just are medium specific like that.
I'm wondering if it's too redundant with Saved for the Sequel, though.

Whoops. My bad, wasn't paying enough attention to the name and thought it was a second launch, though in hindsight the 'soon to change' should have tipped me off.
