Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.
For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages
. Launches
Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues
thread.

Today's worklist:
- Snail Bob: Stub work page; creator messaged.
Sliding Scale Of Live Action TV Obscurity strikes me as a "bad idea" Sliding Scale page.
Locking a namespace is possible, but not in a prompt fashion. Sunset Shimmer can be cut however.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe only thing about locking the namespace is that while the character pages are terrible, I think self-demonstrating trope pages, at least as a Just for Fun thing, are somewhat defensible and so shouldn't be flatly prohibited.
A vetting thread for SD (is the character worth it or not) might need to be a thing. Working like Complete Monster and Five-Man Band, where no approval means no page/entry.
It might also prevent the kind of reasoning I'm seeing on the edit banned/suspended thread at the moment...
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettSubmitted the Sunset page for cutting. Should be easy to find, as it's the only entry at the moment.
Intros Always Lie: Anyone opposed to cutting for stub?
Worklist:
- The Angry Video Game Nerd Pilots and The Angry Video Game Nerd Season One: ~superkeijikun, you've been here long enough to know that you don't make such pages in the Main/ namespace. Recap/, maybe.
- Masques: Stub work page; creator messaged. Also has a lot of wicks in case someone wants to reverse-crosswick them.
- Titanic: Stub work page; creator messaged.
Also, regarding Club Der Roten Bänder ~Kai Aquila can you move that page to Club der roten Bänder and Cut List the previous page, please? The wiki software does not like umlauts in the URL.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanJust putting it out there - I made a page on Laughter in the Dark. Now, while I have read the book, it's been a couple of months so I don't really remember a lot of what happened in it. If someone who's read the book recently can work on the page, I'd be grateful.
In regards to Intros Always Lie, I have no objections on cutting it.
Today's worklist:
- Driving Stick: This Useful Notes page by ~ARCHON seems very irrelevant to me.
- Project Helden: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Seductive Mummy: Trope made without a YKTTW by ~Glim needs a little cleaning.
Today's worklist:
- Marvel Cinematic Universe Actors: ~pepsimax, I am not sure if we make these kind of pages, and at any rate they don't belong in Main/.
- Murder by Decree: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- ultra64: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- We Remember Everything: ~Thunderscourge, please do not make character pages with no tropes listed and no indexing.
- Xander Quest Reborn On The Hellmouth: Stub work page; creator messaged.
Additional stubs: Warlords, Space Duel, and Night Driver.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Driving Stick - definitely off mission
MCU Actors - I suppose a case could be made for it to exist, but it does seem pointless to me.

About the Fanfic the The Dream Must Go On!, I have indexed it under https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Continuation
, but the page for the fanfic still doesn't show it was indexed, may I ask why is that so?
Any advice to help me?
Not sure why it's not indexing. I tried the "blank edit to trigger indexing" thing, didn't work.
[edit] I did, though, submit a custom title to include the exclamation point at the end automatically.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpThat page is not an index, it's a trope. That's why you cannot index your work page on it.
Otherwise, worklist:
- Animated Critic The Show: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Fifth Harmony: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- The Little Twins: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Jaianto Robo: This really looks like an advertisement.
- REC: Not only is this a stub, it reads like a plagiate; by ~Anim3Freak. Anybody know?
- Stopped By A Smile: Stubby trope made with a YKTTW, but it didn't stew long enough if ~cricketlenny's (who also is the launcher of the trope) question on the discussion page "Is this tropeworthy?" is any indication.
- Tarot Crusaders Prologue: I've asked in the Pantheons thread whether this page is appropriate.
Analysis.Jaianto Robo - definitely an advertisement. The item it discusses isn't even connected to what it is allegedly an analysis of.
Anime.REC - definitely plagarized. All content is ripped directly from the 'source' link at the bottom of the page.
Hello all, I'm the author of usefulNotes/Driving Stick. I'm new to adding content, and aside from formatting and linking (was going to improve today), I'd like to ask what I did wrong? There's a lot of poor/misinformation out there regarding this skill, so I figured I'd add some background and instructions for anyone who wanted to know more about the Real Life use of the trope. Is that not what Useful Notes are for?
Honest questions, I'm still learning :-)
The issue with UsefulNotes.Driving Stick is one of whether or not such a page is something that belongs here at all. In what way is the page useful to someone trying to either understand or to create fiction?
edited 23rd Nov '15 3:58:53 PM by Zyffyr
Driving stick is often represented in written stories I've see as automatic with an additional lever, so it could use a 'this is how it works' for those looking to represent it properly in fiction.
ARCHON, the point of Useful Notes is so those writing fiction have a reference point to represent the subject correctly. How it relates to real life is secondary, if relevant.
Of course, it's also easier to have your character screw up if you know what they're messing up in the first place.
The description needs to discuss how it relates to fiction, rather than discuss real-life applications.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettWhat Candi said.
Today's worklist, as an aside:
- A Complete History Of Albery: Putting here a reminder for ~Whoa15 that Darth Wiki pages do not get character pages, especially not ones full of Zero Context Examples.
- NASCAR Xfinity Series: What is the point of having an unindexed character page with no work page, ~Reza Maulana 98?
- Vantage Point: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- The Walking Dead S 04 E 04 Indifference: Greetings, ~Mersault. Please note that Analysis/ pages are not for posting in-universe dialogue, though; you might want to read over Welcome to TV Tropes.

IMHO, the wiki as a whole would be MUCH better without the dumb SD pages.
