Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.
For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages
. Launches
Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues
thread.

Yeah, it's a very bad idea to write up a page that early in the process.
Today's worklist:
- Album Single: Trope made without YKTTW or examples years ago.
- Crowd Pleaser: Stubby trope without YKTTW by ~Pyrarson, and it's not the first stub by them.
- Kishi Shainingu Doragon O Seifuku: ~Hurricane1, are you sure it belongs here? A web novel belongs in Literature/. And either way it needs indexing and crosswicking.
- Jimmy Savile: This page is way too much focused on the controversy; by ~Scoutstr295.
I think Album Single is a simple fix: Needs Wiki Magic. It has thirteen wicks already so there's a bunch of examples that can go on the page in just a few minutes. I also think that it is a valid trope; the idea that a given song stands out enough to be be released on its own, often becoming what the album/band is known for.
I guess the big question is: do we want a page that will list every single ever made? Where the examples will probably look like this:
- Band Name's Album Name had "Song Name".
And hopefully could look more like:
- Band Name's 2000 Album Name had "Song Name". Context, context information Trope Wick, context data, information. Context.
Personally, I'm cool for adding examples to the page. I like keeping everything cross-wicked and having pages full of information—I don't believe in having no-example pages unless there's a dire need.
That said, If we don't want a page that will lend itself toward Zero Context Examples, then I understand. This is near an Omnipresent Trope for modern music. If nothing else, Album Single should be wicked on work pages.

But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you.I mentioned in ATT that I don't think Album Single needs examples on the page; it could have billions. But wicking it from work pages, yes.

@Septimus Heap: I welcome other posters to add to the Jimmy Savile page and put more information besides the controversy in there, but with not many Savile clips available anymore without commentary on the controversy, I don't have much to go on.

Ah, yeah. I didn't look back enough. Calling the actual creator, ~Olaf Merchant, in.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWell, if reverse crosswicking can fix Album Single, then it can surely work.
Otherwise, worklist:
- Bill Bergson: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous: Stub work page; creator messaged.
I'll start cross-wicking Album Single later today then. Wikipedia for a few famous bands will also produce some new examples.
Edit:
Tossing some stuff on the Sandbox
, if you want to take a look at some write-up. It's stuff I'm more familiar with, the existing wicks are strange to me and a bit more vaguely-written.

But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you.Today's worklist:
- Crowd Pleaser: Still a stubby trope with improper link formatting.
- Creator.Jimmy Savile: Still unindexed and full of information on the sex scandal that is not really in our purview.
- Metal Fighter Miku: Stub work page; creator messaged.
Today's worklist:
- Devil's Candy: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Pebble Version: Stub work page; creator messaged.
Today's worklist:
- Balderdash!: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Pink Floyd: Why is this page in Franchise/, ~Patachou?
- Characters.Sprite Survivor: Empty unindexed character page by ~FOFD; subpages not much better.
Jimmy Savile and Crowd Pleaser still need opinions.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe Pink Floyd Franchise page: Other musicians with large and versatile catalogues in different media have franchise pages too: The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan,... As long as there are enough articles from different media I assume a franchise page would come in handy to keep an overview. I mean, isn't that what the franchise page was created for?

Every last one of those is a misuse. As a namespace, Franchise is only for works that cover three or more different forms of media and have pages for them elsewhere on the wiki. Not even the Beatles page qualifies.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpThen why do we have pages pages for the franchises of Alien, Carry On, Rocky, Scream? ... All their pages only list one medium: films. There probably exist other media forms for them, but not on this site for the moment. Or perhaps they haven't been added yet?
And if we follow the at least three different media rule:
- Predator is just a couple of films and a videogame.
- Similarly The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is nothing but films and two comic strips.
- The Walking Dead is a comic book series and a TV series, nothing else.
- Wallace And Gromit is all films, save for one video game and two spin-off series.

TWD (show, comics, games, and novels) and W&G (movies, game, show) both actually qualify for the Franchise namespace. The rest? Not so much.
Also, "they're doing it wrong, so it's okay if I do it wrong as well" is a pretty crappy argument. Wrong is wrong, even if others are doing it.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpEvery work starts out in one medium. If it is popular or elastic enough, it moves into other mediums. And sometimes even the most avid fans don't realize it, particularly if they don't frequent the information outlets of the media in question and there isn't a huge mass-marketing campaign. This is particularly likely if a work doesn't initially have a large internet presence in one or more of its forms, but another form makes it big.
Regardless of that, TV Tropes says three media minimum for a Franchise page. Just because people ignore that policy and others does not mean that they got a pass on the rules. It just means they weren't caught yet.

I was trying to make a Sandbox Character Page
. It didn't work.
I'm far from finished; I wanted to create a Sandbox page and practice with the Character page. I didn't think the subpage would be an issue. I can delete it if necessary. I don't know if I'll be able to sit down and make a decent Main page for it by the end of the day.

Franchise. The Walking Dead can stay, we need to add VideoGame. The Walking Dead and VideoGame. The Walking Dead Survival Instinct to it.
I found Webcomic.Alien Loves Predator, I assume fan works do not count for franchise pages, though.
Alien has at least the two videogames mentioned on the Franchise page, and the literature mentioned on its page. Nobody has bothered making a page for the literature or comic books. I consider the Literature.Alien page to be cutworthy. It's not going to be called Alien unless it's the novelization of the first film, it's going to be titled Alien or Aliens:Some other title. Like Alien:Isolation and Aliens:Infestation (which isn't mentioned on the franchise page, for some reason.)

Keeper of The Celestial FlameThe Franchise/TWD page already has the video games listed. The page is organized by which continuity the relevant works apply to, as the comics and show don't share the same universe (though comic storylines are adapted to the show).
All your safe space are belong to Trump![]()
The Literature.Alien page in particular is also one of those thrice-cursed "the work isn't out yet and/or I can't be bothered to write up a proper page but let's have a page for it anyway so that no other similarly named work snags the page" critters. Burn it alive, I say.
Just want to say before anyone goes apeshit over World of Tanks, that we need the blue-linked page to work as an index. And as for the contents of the sub-pages, it's under construction.
