So, I had to read some comments to realize a complete gem this chapter which I missed on my own: After Saitama told Tatsumaki they had gone too far from their original location, she landed and was clearly waiting for another hug (/jump-ride), but Saitama was too dense and missed that flag; but, at the very least, Tatsumaki's response to his offer to go all out clearly did something right
.

At least it's an improvement over getting yet another Groin Attack.
New chapter is out, pretty much concluding the Psychic Sisters arc. Once again there's a lot of differences from the webcomic to the manga:
- webcomic Tatsumaki is going all out against Saitama because she's a little psycho. Manga Tatsumaki is going all out because she's having fun fighting an opponent that doesn't instantly die. They both end up pulling an "Earth Coffin" type move on Saitama, which he of course effortlessly no-sells. But...
- In the webcomic Fubuki and then eventually the rest of the Blizzard Group go to confront Tatsumaki. Tatsumaki is initially happy that Fubuki is beginning to mirror her outlook on things, but gets pissed with The Blizzard Group show up and try to fight her in order to stay by Fubuki's side. During the fight with the group it's also shown how much of a toll that Tatsumaki's fight with Saitama has taken, given she still hasn't recovered from her encounters with Psykos, Golden Sperm, and Garou. We're not talking feinting like the manga, we're talking she's bleeding from the head, nose, and mouth type stuff. It's only now when Saitama pops out from the ground. He says that now that Tatsumaki is like this the Blizzard Group might stand a chance of beating her, but none of them want to because it's not like beating her like that would make them stronger. The Group beg Fubuki to stay by her side, and in the commotion Tatsumaki flies off.
- this leads to the next chapter in the webcomic, where Saitama has followed her, she's about to say that she's a hero because of Blast, but stops herself short. We the audience see her backstory where Blast saved her, but also chastises her for not using her powers to escape. He also calls himself a "hero for a hobby" and tells her "don't go expecting someone to save you". It's a much colder, more alienating version of Blast. Also noteworthy as his FIRST appearance in the webcomic. He wasn't present for the Monster's Association or Garou stuff at all. The implication is that Tatsumaki is the way she is partly because of what Blast told her that day.
- in the manga Saitama escapes the "Earth coffin" immediately. Tatsumaki tries to lift him (ostensibly to toss him into space) but can barely get him off the ground before feinting from the stress. It's here that she has her flashback of her encounter with Blast. Where he tells her to "protect her family". Tatsumaki goes to take Fubuki, killing some of the Tsukiyomi agents in the process. Fubuki, having just watched her sister kill some dudes, freaks out and uses her powers for the first time (this is not in the webcomic). Tatsumaki blames herself for Fubuki's power's awakening, and so wants to protect her without relying on others. The implication of the flashback is that on some level Tatsumaki just wishes that things could be normal in her life.
- Saitama is impressed, and acknowledges Tatsumaki's power, and is generally a lot less abrasive than he is in the webcomic. At this point Fubuki shows up, telling them that she's left the Blizzard Group behind, but the Blizzard Group arrive almost immediately afterwards. Tatsumaki is going to fight (read: effortlessly crush) them before Fubuki steps in and saying that if they wanted to fight her sister but can't even stand up to her, then what chance do they have. They beg Fubuki to stay by her side.
- another huge deviation. Saitama observes and tells Tatsumaki that The Blizzard Group could become stronger. That he was nothing special before he started training, which shocks her. She actually listens to him, stops Fubuki, and tells The Blizzard Group that because of Saitama she'll give them another chance, although there'll be hell to pay if her sister gets hurt because of them. Tatsumaki is also much, much more interested in Saitama now, than in the webcomic, and Fubuki and The Blizzard Group are understandably shocked.
The tl;dr of all of this is that compared to the webcomic, the manga has toned Tatsumaki's yandere traits and overall animosity way down. To almost zero. She's more intrigued with Saitama than trying to actually murder him and just being unable to. And he's much less harsh on her, and not quite as outwardly indifferent.

I actually prefer the manga's version, in all honesty. It feels more dynamic and actually feels fun compared to the webcomic version, which I honestly found far too underwhelming. That, and Tatsumaki basically disappears entirely after this point in the Webcomic, which I'm sure Murata and ONE are gonna change up to have them be around more instead.

Watch SymphogearI find Tatsumaki's changes to be, okay, if a little weird. I could've done without Fubuki's character assassination though. This arc which was supposed to be just as much about her as her sister, ended up making her look like a complete dipshit. But that's something that I and a couple other people already touched upon earlier.
Yes, yes it was, thank you very much (we wouldn't have Saitama lauging at it if it didn't exist).
It's interesting how the Murata version has finally arrived to the current arc of the web-comic (even if there are still a couple thing to set up prior to the proper start), so you have to wonder how much is it going to change as it approaches it.
At the very least, Suiryu's going to have to go through a pretty heavy rewrite here, since he didn't get the same sort of Character Development in the webcomic that he did in the manga, IIRC.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.Oh wow, Hero Association politics. Riveting.
Tatsumaki's add was pretty funny.
Oh wow, they're actually acknowledging that everyone below S-class is mostly useless.
New rival association. OK? That's not really a threat to anyone except the shady executives tho?
Like, I'm not necessarily convinced the new association will be an improvement. I'd need to hear how they plan to avoid becoming just as bloated and corrupt as HA, and how they plan to address the bigger issue of Monsters becoming stronger.
But like, not even the Heroes we know have any reason to be especially attached or loyal to HA. They've just been the only game in town till now.
They need to introduce some actual stakes to this storyline for it to even make sense.

So a new superhero organization is popping up, huh? Seems like they're being set up to be less clout- and profit-oriented, and that already smells fishy to me. Feels like someone taking advantage of the hit to the Association's public image to start up their own cape business.
That being said, at least from initial impressions, they did manage to convince Axel they're better than the current Association, and I have to wonder if any of the S-Ranks will make the switch. Doesn't seem like any of them particularly care, either way. Genos does seem to be considering the offer, but he's more likely to go wherever Saitama goes.
After nearly 2 years away, ONE comes back out of nowhere with a new Webcomic chapter. Chapter 142 Genos and Saitama launch their all-out assault against The Organization cyborgs, for revenge in Genos’ case due Kuseno’s death and Saitama is tagging along, implicitly to make Genos company lest him regress to the revengeful guy he was at the beginning of the series.

It's a new story arc, which probably helps. There's not been too much to change so far, since the changes from the last story arc didn't have anything that would kick in just yet. Except maybe some minor behavioural nudges and things.

See you in a few years when the next chapter releases.
Manga is apparently on hiatus until the 1st, since Murata was sick
at the start of the month (he's better now).

Well, the biggest mystery of OPM was finally solved. Some people will not be happy with the answer tho.
Also, Sonic got owned, and it was the funniest thing.
