Spider-Man - The Lobby
Despite landing that blow to the Operator's head, it hadn't fazed him in the slightest. When the attack connected, Peter, stopped dead in his tracks, felt that tingling feeling again and instinctively leaped off of the Operator and onto a wall, escaping just in time to dodge Altair's frag "knife" and energy shot as well as Miko's light show.
You know, I just can't help but feel like I'm really out of my league here. I mean, seriously, what on earth was that?
Once he had clung to the wall and gotten his bearings, he noticed both how quickly the ground had shifted into a giant conveyor belt leading directly into a hallway and that the Operator and anyone who was still on the ground had managed to disappear. It didn't take a science major to guess they went where the conveyor belt led.
Geez, the way this whole fight's going, I half expect this Operator guy to start wearing a fishbowl on his head. And now in retrospect, I'm wondering why that would be my mental image of choice here. Anyway, time for Plan C.
Peter proceeded to crawl along the walls until he reached the hallway's ceiling. There, he could take another crack at the Operator, assuming he wasn't keeping an eye out for a man in tights clinging to the walls during the fracas.

Axton sighed. It was a very heavy sigh.
"Well, all I've got is a helmet. I'm not exactly ready to survive space, either - even if I do have oxygen. So if this fighter blows up, we're dead."
"Don't think about it, though. Just concentrate on blowing things to bits."
He kept weaving the fighter through the thicket of its kind, taking a few more blasts but making the TIEs pay for every scorch mark and evaporated steel.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Altair couldn't really hear what the Operator said... Or what anyone else said for that matter. He was still pretty effectively blind and deaf except for seeing the colored blurs of where the Operator and his comrades were. However, when the ground started moving like a conveyor belt, pulling him towards the red blur of the Operator, Altair could feel that. Figuring it was like a wagon or cart under him being pulled, Altair quickly jumped back, not wanting to be pulled closer to his opponent.
... Of course, as soon as he landed that jump, Altair kept moving towards the Operator. "What?!" Altair said aloud in his confusion and slight alarm. Figuring the Operator was behind this, Altair quickly pulled out another one of his throwing weapons and let it fly towards the Operator. It was only right after he threw it that he realized this one wasn't round, but still had a little activation button that he had luckily hit. This one was flat and square, rounding down at the edges on one side. It would keep going until the flat side hit something, which it would latch onto; then it would emit a little red laser, which would act as its own little motion detector. Soon as the beam length got longer or shorter, showing that something had moved it, the little mine would explode.
After the throw, Altair turned and started running away from the Operator as fast as he could. Of course, running against a conveyor meant he was barely moving at all in the grand scheme of things, leaving him very vulnerable to the spinning disk coming his way.

G gritted his teeth when his shots didn't make a scratch at the Operator's body.
"What's that thing made of..." The NCIS snarled when he saw the incoming projectiles moving towards Altair and Sunny.
Gotta go what I gotta do...
G aimed the Seburo M5 at the projectiles and emptied the pistol of its remaining ammunition, hoping to score critical hits.
The Operator
Sunny and Altair would find themselves grabbed by the waist rather than sliced in half by the Metal Blades.
"Shampoo know when people in trouble," Shampoo replied to the two, as she saved their lives. "Save them from bad, bad haircut."
The Operator meanwhile continued firing Metal Blades, but just barely dodged the reflected Metal Blade, though it did leave a cut on his cheek... Once he gained his sight back, he saw the barrier that Storm Raider had put up and smirked as he forced his hand through the Auto Guard Round Shield and with a clinch of his fist, shattered it. Vice had been close enough for him to do it, and he took it.
Meanwhile, the laser mine actually ended up hitting one of the Metal Blade's sides, which the crowd of heroes would now have to avoid the explosion of.

"Information: The frigate has ceased firing on Comicron-1."
“Great, that’s one thing off our backs. What’s the status of the forward lance?” Linkara asked as he continued to watch the dreadnought through the viewscreen. As long as he could focus his attention on that megaship, he probably had a chance.
"Information: The forward lance has nearly completed charging. It will be ready momentarily."
“Alright, Nimue, keep us out of the estimated firing arc of the dreadnought’s spinal weapon, and try to hit that ‘needle’ with the neutron cannons, maybe we can take it out before it fires.”
Comicron-1 continued to strafe to the side, continuing to attempt to keep out of the way of that spinal needle weapon. Simultaneously the neutron cannons aimed at the needle of the dreadnought, opening fire and attempting to take out the needle before it could fire.
Spider-Man - The Lobby - Hallway
Having just made his way into the hallway, courtesy of the walls and ceilings, Peter was promptly greeted by a Metal Blade flying at him, and which had only managed to graze his shoulder after he had instinctively ducked out of the way. Before he could properly freak out about his nigh-instantaneous brush with death, however, one of the many blades that the Operator had been launching at the heroes had managed to hit Altair's mine, triggering it. At this moment, Spider-Man abandoned his sneak attack plan, spontaneously shooting out two web lines (one from each wrist) in his allies' general direction and yanking back once they hit home, hoping to get as many of them out of the blast radius as he could. This act was accompanied by a shout which gave away his position, though he couldn't stop himself from doing so.

"Cynic, n. — A blackguard whose faulty vision sees things as they are, not as they ought to be." - The Devil's DictionaryAltair had kept running nearly in place until being suddenly yanked to one side by the waist. The color of the blur that grabbed him told Altair that he had apparently just been saved by an ally, quite possibly from certain death. In fact, his vision was finally starting to return to something more passable as understandable, and his hearing was still mostly ringing, but he could start to hear other sounds through the ringing now.
"Thank you, I think" Altair managed to say, turning around to see the Operator still firing, and brought up his laser pistol in preparation to continue helping. Before he could fire though, a bit of web latched onto Altair from behind and suddenly yanked him backwards through the air, nearly dropping the pistol in the process.

The TIE numbers were finally starting to thin out, giving much needed breathing space; the cruiser was so focused on shooting Riku that it seemingly failed to notice the charge building in his vehicle's weapons. As the Keyblade wielder approached, he might have noticed that the shots were more inaccurate than when he was further away. Perhaps the cruiser's fire control systems had a minimum range? Whatever the answer was, it meant that he could get into a perfect position for firing.
At first the Nomad battleship's needle held against the battering it was receiving, but the weight of fire was starting to tell - at first cracks appeared along its length, and then the needle shattered, causing a ball of purple-blue fire to bloom in a deadly explosion, tossing debris into the void. More of the TIE fighters were engulfed in the detonation, and the forward section of the Nomad battleship's superstructure was now much worse for wear. The battleship slowed for several seconds, as though it was stunned by what had occured and it was unsure how to respond. The needle fire from its body grew uncoordinated and infrequent, with many of the shots going wide of Comicron-1.
It seemed to regain its wits, however, and it began to turn side on to Comicron-1, trying to prevent Linkara from gaining a clear shot at the battleship's prow, which was even now trailing fire along angry purple welts that criss-crossed the damaged section like scar tissue.
Operator Fight
Megaman was growing more and more concerned as the battle wore on. It seemed that he could replicate anybody's abilities at will - indeed, he had already emulated Metal Blades. Did the Operator have some form of Variable Weapon System inside of him? If he did, it was nothing like what the Robot Master possessed. In the tumult of the fight it had been difficult to tell, but now that he had withdrawn for fear of hitting an ally Rock noticed something: a heat haze was steadily building up around the Operator's body*. When the fight had begun it was barely noticeable, but now the air was definitely shifting and twisting in the heat. But why? It just didn't add up to Megaman. The explosion cut through the air, and a deep silence settled upon the room.
As the blast subsided, the form of the Operator became visible once more. He was breathing hard, and the heat haze almost appeared to be so thick that you could cut through it. He looked as though he had been battered by the explosion. " Damn it... you're very persistent, I'll give you that," growled the man. " This ends NOW!"
He snapped his fingers, and the lines criss-crossing his body flared with energy. Nothing happened... and then Rock experienced the stomach lurching sensation of gravity reversing as he flew up toward the ceiling. The Robot Master didn't quite manage to react in time and he hit the ceiling with a clang and a grunt of pain. Forcing himself to his feet, he had just enough time to see the Operator summon another weapon - this time it was a pair of oversized blades
◊. One of them was actually coming out of a slot in his forearm via a small manipulator while the other was held normally. Those who were closest to the Operator would realise that the slot had not been there before. Clearly he was capable of modifying his body to accomodate the specifics of various weapons.
With a yell the Operator launched forward, a cold gleam entering his eyes. Taking him head on was definitely an option, though as he bore down on the heroes those who paid attention would realise that he was leaving his back wide open. He was moving quickly, though, so they would have to be quick on their feet.

The volume of incoming fire was dropping sharply, Riku noticed; it seemed like there were fewer and fewer of those fighters still in the game, and this close to the frigate’s hull its weapons seemed to have a harder time tracking his skimmer. It was a two-edged sword, for while this made it easier for him to avoid those torpedoes it also left him with fewer energy blasts to absorb.
A chime came from the console as he absorbed another shot; glancing at it, he saw that the meter was now full and pulsing faintly. And sure enough, the forks of electricity arcing between his skimmer’s two laser projectors had coalesced into a crackling, scintillating ball. He was fully charged. There would only be one shot at this; hopefully, it would be all he needed.
He veered away from the frigate to put some distance between himself and his target, then angled his ship so that the dart-shaped prow was pointing straight at the boxy green vessel.
“Let’s see how you like this,” he said, pulling the trigger for the Mega-Laser.
The Danse Macabre CodexAfter being rescued from the explosion, Altair stood and, with his vision finally returning, saw the Operator surrounded by a haze of heat. He could also tell the Operator was getting worn out, so they were starting to get some ground on this fight after all.
A quick ultimatum from the Operator was followed with a snap of his fingers. For a moment nothing happened, but Altair tensed at the ready regardless. When the gravity suddenly reversed, Altair found himself falling head down adjacent to one of the pillars. He had to think quickly, and do something to slow or break his fall, but the pillar had no convenient handholds to grab.
... So he'd just have to try another way. Twisting and thrusting out his right arm at the pillar, Altair extended the wrist blade, which bit deeper into the pillar than he was expecting. Due to the wrist blade's advanced changes from the curse that Altair was unaware of, it was slicing through the pillar like a hot knife through cold butter; it didn't slow him down much, but enough to get him swing him back upright. From there, he braced his feet against the pillar, which slowed him more so that he hit the floor without getting disoriented.
Withdrawing the wrist blade and wheeling around, Altair found himself facing the charging Operator. If Altair still had his sword, he could try facing off against the Operator's blades, but unfortunately he didn't, so once again... He'd just have to try another way. Checking the pistol and correcting the setting from 'stun' to 'kill', he brought it up with his left hand and started firing at the Operator as he charged. Given the fight so far, Altair fully expected the Operator to defend himself from the shots one way or another, but that wasn't the point. As he backed up, he kept his right hand low but a bit away from his side, at the ready; he'd just need an opening when the Operator got close, which he hoped the pistol would provide.

"HOLY SH-!"
G instinctively raised his arms to cover his face and the upper part of his chest when he heard the sound of an explosion.
After the explosion, G began to move again and reloaded his sidearm. He aimed the pistol's iron sights at the side/back of the Operator.
Here goes...
He tried to run fast in order to gain some distance between him and his enemy. With that in mind, G pulled the Seburo M5 to fire a couple of bullets at his back.

Vice Granscenic — the lobby
Roused by Storm Raider's voice and the Operator's subsequent Barrier Break, Vice rolled away from his foe, hastily casting a Protection — which manifested around him as a teal dome of Hard Light — to fend the explosion off.
Then the Operator played around with the gravity, and Vice fell through the dome, shattering it and nearly losing his grip on Storm Raider before landing, back first, on the ceiling. Rolling around to a prone position, he aimed Storm Raider at the Operator once again. He was breathing heavily, however, and his finger hovered on the trigger, shaking ever so slightly.
Operator Battle
Shampoo had been pulled out of the blast radius by Spider-Man with the others, and despite gravity itself playing tricks on her, she landed safely on her feet. Being a cat for half the time gave her a somewhat more pronounced sense of balance even as a human, and her being trained in leaping had help keep her from being disoriented. However, she looked at the Operator again. Unlike the others, she understood the martial arts and his stance at the moment left his back wide open.
Shampoo soon jumped from pillar to pillar, trying to avoid his attacks and attempt to get behind the Operator to eventually kick him hard in the back.

Peter had managed to successfully get Altaïr and Shampoo out of the way of the impending explosion in the nick of time with a couple of web lines. Before he could celebrate, however, he quickly realized that he was still in its path.
This is going to suck.
Spidey quickly shot out another web toward the ceiling and tried to zip away from the explosion as it went off. However, he was a bit too late to fully escape the blast. He was lucky to get away with a tattered costume (including a mask that now left much of the right side of his face exposed), being knocked off his own web line from the blast, and taking a tumble to the floor, bruising his body every time he collided with the conveyor belt.
Before he could recover from this wild ride, however, the Operator threw him for a loop by reversing the gravity. Since he hadn't been consciously sticking to the floor when the Operator had done so, Peter fell toward the ceiling, smacking into the chandelier on the way down (or was it up? Such things were difficult to determine while tumbling seemingly in every direction through the air), before finally making contact with the skylight, cracking it on impact.

The cruiser seemed to rock under the assault of Riku's Mega-Laser, superheated metal glowing white hot as it sagged and eventually collapsed under the strain, motes of slag bleeding off into the void. The lights dotting the cruiser's hull flickered and then dimmed: whatever had been providing electrical power to the ship had either failed or been destroyed. A few more unco-ordinated blasts streaked toward Riku and anyone nearby, and then the cruiser was consumed in unearthly green fire as explosions swallowed the vessel.
Soon there was nothing left but drifting wreckage, interstellar flotsam and jetsam that only served to complicate flying in and around the area of the battle. However, the tide had decisively turned against the Nomad Battleship and the remainder of the fighters - all that was left to accomplish was their final destruction.
Operator Fight
The storm of projectiles was ignored entirely by the Operator, but that did not mean they had no effect. Indeed, he staggered as more shots hit home, grunting in pain. It was obvious he was relying upon his natural toughness to protect him rather than any special abilities.
In his haste to meet Altair and Spider-Man behind him* in close combat, he was oblivious to Shampoo and Vice as they each prepared their respective attacks. Almost too quickly he was upon Altair, swinging his blades in a vicious arc from left to right. Due to his experience, Altair* would realise that although the blades were unpredictable and tricky to counter, their weight forced him to push his body and arm forward to make the most out of them - leaving him vulnerable should he miss or be surprised.

Axton let out a whooping cheer and raised his throttle hand as the enemy starship exploded. The VTOL had taken quite a coupple of hits, but none were to any vital components and the jet was still flying.
"Whoever the hell killed that thing, nice friggin' shot! I need a gun like that! Now, let's mop up what's left'a these chumps." Axton kept his fighter as it was before the ship exploded - dodging and twisting with barely-there finesse and surviving by the double metaphorical skin of its metaphorical teeth against the massive horde set before him, the Noel-controlled Sabre blazing away at anything that dared to follow.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Oswald was thrown for a loop when the Operator reversed gravity and sent everyone tumbling to the ceiling. "Just what the heck is this guy?" he mumbled to himself, pulling himself off the floo-er, ceiling. He watched as the Operator started attacking the others with heavy blades that caused him to overextend. Bingo, Oswald thought, knowing just what to do.
Jumping over so that he was behind the Operator, he waited until the Operator swung his blade forward, and then he ran and aimed a powerful leaping kick at the Operators back. The force of the kick would hopefully cause the Operator to fall forward, leaving him open to attacks.

Sunny hit the ceiling with a bang that knocked the wind out of her. She rolled to her left, and sprung back to her feet, staggering a little as she tried to get her bearings.
"Well, no time like the present, I guess." She exhaled deeply, then started to concentrate, gathering energy into her Smile Pact.

“Good... I can still shoot,” Vice muttered to himself as he aimed at the Operator again, not particularly concerned that his attack didn't have any visible effect. Steadying Storm Raider, he aimed Storm Raider. Then Altaïr's flashbang went off, blinding him completely.
Vice could do nothing to avoid the deadly Metal Blade that whirred toward him. He was done for; there was no way he could notice it in time, let alone dodge or throw a shield spell up. Fortunately, he wasn't the only person fighting.
“Auto Guard Round Shield,” announced Storm Raider, and another Hard Light construct not dissimilar to the first formed, deflecting the blade back toward the Operator.
