Double post.
I wonder, Family Guy was brought back to the cable after being canceled for nearly a whole decade due to massive fanbase (I just wanted to let you know that I almost typed fanservice). Then why aren't Firefly and Arrested Development, which apparently is the best pieces of entertainment brought to mankind that has been cancelled by forces of darkness, showing any signs of being brought back?
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.I guess not. I believe Firefly and Arrested Development were cancelled due to low ratings, while Family Guy was cancelled due to being offensive. When they saw that offensive sells, they kept it. The others might have had good DVD sales but still be damned by the ratings.

Get back to work, lazyheads!
Before you start doubting shows, Firefly got a movie. Arrested Development, which I loved, was brought back, as a fourth season is premiering as a Netflix original in May, and they'll attempt to make a movie to wrap up everything. Then you have stuff like the Veronica Mars Kickstarter: the goal was $2 million in a month, and the fans raised it in 10 hours, so the movie is going to happen. Or the return of Toonami, an entire block being revived.
A strong effort applies to more than just Family Guy.
Hell, Kickstarter itself was formed as an effort to get Arrested Development back on the air, and though that didn't pan out, David Cross became the site's first big sponsor, and helped it get launched.
So I guess what I'm saying is fan response does have some hope.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyThe reason why shows like Fire Fly, Invader Zim, The Spectacular Spiderman, etc. aren't brought back are usually because the staff of those shows move on to other things, and because the networks don't see much value in bringing them back.
For cases like Toonami, it's a combination of Adult Swim's saturday hours being otherwise uneventful, and the April Fools stunt last year.
Also keep in mind that the quality tends to suffer after revival's.

Time to leave them all behindI wish wikis had a grammar consistency standard.
Or any standard, really. It especially pisses me off when I see a wikipedia article that's just dumbly worded.

The sad, REAL American dichotomySo, if a girl were interested in the Lyrical Nanoha franchise, where would you say she should get started?
