@Gameknight: Assuming that Recon will successfully dispatch the runners is technically autohitting. Also, Recon is completely unaware of the thing to Anarchy's right. (Yes, even if he has thermal on.)
Anyway, I'm here now but really need to see about some other things before I post here.
EDIT: Also, kinda waiting to let Troy have a chance to post first.

You are reading this.Sorry, since Recon moves so fast, I put out clauses so that, assuming he's successful, he goes on to do this. You're free to ignore or counter. But if he's not successful, please remember that all the speed and focus that would've gone into that next clause instead goes into seeing the incoming counter. So I'd like you to be able to post a counter of my own.
For e.g. If Recon can't get through all the runners and one of them gets too close, what would normally be an autohit for the runner I'd like to not be, because the "action points" of one entire move are instead diverted into seeing and preparing for the runner's attack.
That's just how I think of it to keep my brain and my posts organized. Feel free to ignore.
Also, if Anarchy is unaware of the thing to her right, and Recon is unaware of the thing to her right, why did you post it?

@Gameknight: Again, I'm not going to use any kind of set action points rules, and I always try to keep a character's general speed and reflexes in mind when it comes to them being able to counter things. Even if I was using action points, I'm pretty sure I would never let anyone have enough to kill a dozen runners solo in melee, move forward, then set overwatch on another target in one go.
But fair enough on the "if that succeeds, he then does X" thing. However, sometimes even when the first thing succeeds he still wouldn't have enough time to do the next thing before the situation started changing again. Although you did not word it that way very well.
Anyway, Anarchy is aware of the thing because she can hear it.
But she can hear it because of her super werewolf hearing. Other than that, she can't sense it; it's too dark and whatever it is does not have a distinct enough scent for her to make out against all the blood smell. Recon both lacks super hearing and has ear protection on, so he can't hear it; it's also the exact same heat as the rest of the room, so it's not distinct enough for him to make out when up against the "OH SHIT A DOZEN RUNNERS COMING AT MY FACE" that currently has his attention.

You are reading this.@Troy: Is alright. Real life comes first and I'm a pretty patient guy. I was just saying that I didn't want to post if I could help it until you had a chance to have Anarchy act.
Anyway, for those curious, yes, as a matter of fact I do have Fang hiding in a specific place, and if you look there, you will find him early and kind of screw sideways the planned boss fight. But, care to make a guess where it is?
Okay, so just stopping in before work here.
@Fantasy: Dang, didn't think one of you would get it so easily.
@Gameknight: Again, your post seems to be assuming a lot of success that you don't get to be the determiner of. Also, the entirety of Recon's plan there is going to fail at step one; there's no way he can spin on the ground in the current situation.

You are reading this.Quick personal announcement I'm copy pasting across all RPs I'm in: So, recently life kind of issued me challenge of sorts, that I have to complete by the end of next week, or as far as I currently know, I'll lose out on it forever; and I decided to go for it. I hadn't brought it up yet because I figured a week would be plenty of time to do it with how my schedule usually ends up.
... Well, today I figured out at work that my boss is finally giving me those additional hours I've been asking for... This same upcoming week. So between work on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and next Sunday, the weekly thing I'll have going on with friends on Friday, and trying to complete this challenge, my free time just got shot to hell until either week after next or I complete the challenge, whichever comes first. What this means here is that I'll barely be able to post, if at all. Like, I'll still be able to recap things and make quick responses in discussion threads when I get the chance, but main posts will be sparing.
For the two games I am running, I will still try to get a post every day/every other day depending on whether I'm waiting to let more people post, but I can't promise that. Sorry.
You are reading this.I'm pretty sure Doc doesn't have that technology.
In fact, probably nobody has that technology in this setting.
Anyway, @everyone still outside the bowling alley: Before you start posting attacks on the monsters, your next posts will just be arriving at the bowling alley.
Only Red is in any position to be an exception, and only if he abandons the jeep right where it is now and just rushes past the abandoned cars on foot.
You are reading this.Eeh, Firock, having a permanent adrenaline rush would kill you, zombie or not.
Even if it didn't you pointed out to me yourself that adrenaline rushes usually result in torn muscles? So if they have an adrenaline rush going on all the time, then the runners wouldn't be in very good shape. What with their joints pulled out of their sockets and all. That's why I only have Recon use short bursts of it.
Just say they have increased strength or something, I'll buy that.
Oh, and add it to the bestiary too please. This caught me by surprise.
EDIT: Hey wait a minute!
Adrenaline is the direct result of a self-preservation instinct. Not having one means they wouldn't be able to use adrenaline at all (unless Fang injected them with it beforehand).

@Gameknight: I'm going to quote part of my post.
Do you see the key word there?.. No? Okay, it's similar. As in, it's not actually an adrenaline rush, it's something else that gets almost the same end result. While I welcome critique, you need to actually read my posts and catch key words like that before going off with completely invalid points about them.
But why yes, you're right that not holding back your strength is bad for you; runners are suicidal glass cannon mooks. The one breaking Recon's ribs was also breaking its foot, but that's the point; it didn't care in the slightest, and wasn't thinking about the long term repercussions of stomping on Recon so hard that it'd break its own foot. It only cared about murdering Recon.
As for adding it to the bestiary, the bestiary doesn't include everything, and that's on purpose. It only includes things that are either common knowledge or obvious. One of those things I figured would be so obvious that I didn't even feel the need to put it on there? That getting knocked to the ground and beaten on by a bunch of runners is one of those situations almost impossible to break out of on your own. But, it hasn't gone in the bestiary because most people who've ended up in Recon's position ended up dead or infected; most commonly, runners are killed at a range, with guns.
And one last thing gameknight, to quote one of your points with some emphasis of my own.
To this, I respond with some simple questions: Is this your setting? Are you the one who decides exactly how zombies work here? And do you even think your comments through at all before you send them? I'm sorry, I just realized how rude that was.

You are reading this.Sorry Firock, my comment was pretty rude. I'm always cranky in the mornings. Forgive me.
Firock, an enemy unit permanently having enough strength to lift 3,500 pound cars and get into fisticuffs with black bears is something I'd really loved to have known beforehand. It wasn't obvious to me, maybe I'm the exception.
I did use your words Firock. In the bestiary, it says runners can be killed with anything except blood loss and pain. I don't see "heart attack" anywhere in the exceptions.
But I concede, it was ignorant of me to assume the bestiary included everything. But if you're going to give enemy units the ability to chuck around humans like ragdolls, and have that as a permanent ability, I'd love some forewarning.

@Gameknight: You're overestimating what they're able to do; it's not the supercharge that real adrenaline is, it's just a lack of restraint.
Consider for instance, that if you're experienced at having fist fights with people, you should know that unless you have something on your hand to take the blow for you, you shouldn't punch someone in the head with full force. Doing so is a bad idea because a skull is a lot harder than the bones in your hand, so if you hit hard enough to break the skull, your hand will almost definitely break too. (Citation
)
Now imagine if someone had literally zero restraint. That their fight or flight instinct is permanently stuck on fight, and that they have no regard whatsoever to hurting their own body in order to hurt you. That's runners. Not super strength, just a pure lack of holding back, and yes, it does wear on them. That combined with the fact that they usually kill their victims rather than just infect them and let them get away is why runners aren't totally overrunning the setting. (Well, that and, they're not that hard to kill.)
As for why a group of them are still able to keep Recon down even with Recon's adrenaline rush? Because I, as a GM, am not just going to let you use an adrenaline rush as a get out of jail free card or temporary superpower pass. To be more specific, I'm not going to let you use it to give your character the ability to do something that they weren't listed as having in your sign up. Recon has nothing about increased or even above average strength in his signup, at all. If you did try to have Recon lift a 3,500 pound object and cite adrenaline as the reason why he should be able to do that... Well, here's how it would probably go down.
I would ask you, "Gamknight, are you really sure you want Recon to do that? He'll do it, but not without repercussions." If you then say yes, it's time to ride the breaking your own bones and/or permanently tearing your muscle ligaments train. I don't like people trying to ass pull new abilities for their characters, real life precedent or not.
I tried to explain this to you when you brought it up in that PM train way back, but I don't think you got the message. (Again, I may have been too subtle and indirect with my wording.)
You are reading this.

-Looks over towards the bestiary, not even half of the things on which you guys have encountered yet.-
You really think this is gonna end with a mere vampire?
Anyway, now that I've torn myself away from distractions and most of my writer's block, it's time to see about posting.
