And it wasn't serious when the overlord class major demon showed up?
Anyway, quick list of the guns left behind in the station. I did some dice rolling to decide about how well off these were.
- H&K mark 23.
(It has the laser sight shown in the picture, but not the suppressor.) .45 ACP, but unfortunately it has only one 12-round magazine. It also has no holster.
- S&W model 610.
No attachments. .40 S&W rounds, with four 6-round moon clips. It has a belt holster for the revolver itself.
- KGP-9, civilian semi-auto only version.
No attachments. 9mm, with five 25-round magazines. It has two magazine holsters which hold two magazines each and fit on a belt. The gun itself has a sturdy sling.
- Thompson submachine gun.
No attachments. .45 ACP, with four 20-round magazines. Unfortunately only one magazine holster which can hold two magazines and fits on a belt. Also has a sturdy sling.
- Mossberg 590.
Under-barrel flashlight attachment. Holds 5(+1) 12 guage rounds internally; has a single bandolier that holds twenty more rounds. And another sturdy looking sling.
They're still Human with some empathy; it's not like he wants to leave them behind to die in a last stand scenario by themselves.
Also they have a "if we get out of this alive, you owe me" agreement.
EDIT:
I couldn't help but chuckle after realizing that Molly and Lisa are both blonde.

You are reading this.I know this is probably a bad idea - seeing as we have enough to deal with already but I have a monster idea. Kind of a Sarlaac/Kraken hybrid.
- Sand Kraken - This creature does not reside exclusively in the sand nor does it look entirely like a Kraken so the name is a bit of a misnomer. Its torso/head area resembles that of an octopus but it looks much more reptailian and with a singular eye and gaping mouth. Like an octopus, it also has tentacles (four of them to be precise). The Sand Kraken typically slumbers far underground for weeks at a time (sometimes longer depending on their last meal.) However, when it awakes, it is inevitably to consume some more food so it can continue its hibernation. It will coil its tentacles up into a rough point and spin its body - propelling it through the ground much like a drill. It will then zone in on areas with a high living population - whether that means animals or humans. Its hunting method is typically to wait until a large group of oraganisms comes near it before ripping through the dirt with its tentacles and grabbing everything it can. So for battle scenes, think the Kraken battles in the Pirates of the Carribean movie. The best defense for humans is to run indoors and hide or to wound its tentacles enough to cause the Sand Kraken to give up its pursuit. Its one eye is also vulnerable to sunlight. It is important to note that the tentacles on the Sand Kraken has some sort of sensory perception on it - the exact nature of which is unknown. It is known however that even with its eye underground, the Sand Kraken can use these sensors to find any hidden prey that might have escaped. The Sand Krakens are pretty rare to find - with probably only 200-300 in North America and its size can range from 50-250 feet (head/torso) and 10-75 feet (tentacles.)
@Sand Kraken: I'm not really sure about anything that could burrow through ground quickly like Tremors, but your idea does make me realize I don't really have anything that behaves like an antlion or trapdoor spider besides the giant trapdoor spiders.
@Recon knowing French: I was under the impression he didn't actually hang out with his father all that much, based on his back story and how much time they seem to spend in entirely separate locations.
That and him understanding French is yet another of those things that should have been in his skill list in his signup.
(Also, double checking Recon's signup for this post, I realize there's an inconsistency now. His back story still says the rogue Coven "evacuation" took place about a month after the apocalypse started, when it needs to have taken place at least a year in. Just something I guess I didn't catch the first time around with that.)
Anyway, I'm here now. Gonna see if I can get a post in before game night with friends starts later, (hopefully) but I'm running into some writer's block. So I don't know if I'll be posting soon or much later tonight.
And oh yeah, I should probably mention my schedule for this week: Game nights with friends are supposed to be on tonight and tomorrow night, but they're the ones that tend to run into the most scheduling problems so who knows at this point. I've got work on Wednesday, and the more stable game night on Friday.
EDIT @Nman: Dare I ask what, if anything, Max actually managed to say in French?

You are reading this.-checks google translate-
Doesn't look like it. There's four options for, "many on" but none of them sound like what Max said; and apparently French for, "menu" is, "menu".
Google translate really isn't getting anything for, "a la carte, a gogo", besides thinking that it's Spanish then translating it into itself. So it's probably just stupid gibberish.
Anyway, I need to go AFK real soon to get some things done before game night can happen, so it's looking increasingly likely that my post will have to wait until later. Sorry guys.

You are reading this.No problem. As you say - real life takes precedent.
Since we're waiting - why is it that your character has not gone and fled to Alaska like a sane person
? Red's is because he's been at town so long that he's built up a sort of kinship with the townspeople as well as wanting something to fight - even if those somethings terrify him.
It's those damned accents. "À la carte"
means "according to the menu" and "à-gogo" means "in abundance; galore."
I'd say latent hero complex for Max.
And also because I want to have a character in the RP who is actually near the action instead of off-screen.
Gotcha.
Firock - should have asked this earlier but what is a round moon clip? I tried googling it but I'm not sure I understand it fully. Or even partially. Also for the Sand Kraken - how about if I took away its burrowing ability and said that they cannot move and are only spawned by a monster summoner to plague a populated area. They sit in slumber until their next victims come.
She'd arguably be less safe in the middle of the NCC headquarters; there'd be a lot more guns and weapons loaded up with silver there, and the people would want her dead as a doornail. The tolerance of given locations to half monsters can usually be measured by which they claim closer allegiance to: U.N.A.M. or the NCC.
Anyway, guess I'll live with Recon understanding but not speaking French.
@Fantasy: A moon clip is like a speed loader; it holds six rounds so you can just plug them all into the revolver at once instead of one at a time. Unlike a speed loader though, the moon clip stays inside the revolver while the shots are fired, and when ejected pulls back all six shells (or unfired rounds) out of the revolver with it. Basically think a magazine, but for a revolver. (It's just not called a magazine because it's functionally different on a mechanical level.)
As for the sand kraken, I've already thought up a substitute cthulian monster that uses the same principle, just in a very different way. I may return to burrowed monsters at some point, but not for now.
