So, Pirate Cinema is just out.

Is anyone reading Cory Doctorow's novels?

Most of them are YA Post-Cyberpunk stories in a realistic Next Sunday A.D. setting, dealing with the implications of online culture, virtual economies, computer surveillance, or software piracy.

They are quite anvilicious, but at least in a subject matter that is actually relevant to sience fiction, and that artists are supposed to care about.

I read Little Brother and loved it. I haven't read more of his stuff yet, but I've been meaning to.

I've only read Little Brother, For The Win, and Pirate Cinema myself.

Oh, and Down And Out In The Magic Kingdom, too, but that sucked. Or at least wasn't very Doctorow-like.

I've only read Little Brother and For The Win. I was impressed with Little Brother since he seems to be one of the few technology writers to actually understand what he's talking about.

Read a number of his short stories and Maker. Loved his take on Superman. Basically instead of the most common alternate Superman type stories (Nazi Superman, Communist Superman) it asks, what if Kal-El, like his creators, a nice Jewish Canadian boy?
