Yeah, that sounds nerdy enough to be the case.
Optimism is a duty.I'm sure Rogen would bring more of his approach to Green Hornet to this show than he would take from Sausage Party.
Again, I don't think that'd be too bad a thing. Rogen's approach to Green Hornet might work much better for Darkwing than it did to the Hornet himself.
So what would that approach look like?
Optimism is a duty.I'm sure Rogen's learned something from the Green Hornet, given how infamously maligned the movie was.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Industry artist Irineo Maramba (Transformers: Animated, Teen Titans (2003)) uploaded some concept art of a Darkwing Duck series developed at Disney Television Animation. It features a heavily stylized take on Darkwing, Gosalyn, Launchpad and some villains.
This could have been for the upcoming series, but seeing as this art has been out for four months, it's possible this approach was passed up and safe from any NDA.

I can almost 100 percent guarantee that this art did not make it into the final product. This feels like Epic Mickey all over again.
He also seems to be wearing shoes for some reason... It seems more like a Zorro parody than a DW one, which would be apt, at least.
Optimism is a duty. Not bad and I like the idea of Launchpad and Gosalyn being heroes - it was always the oddest thing that DW's sidekicks were just normal guys and didn't even put on costumes. I think Launchpad could even get away with using his name as his codename and could work. New villains have potential
My only problem is that top Gosalyn doesn't look like Gosalyn. It's like they mixed her with Honker into one duck.
Yeah. Hate that Gosalyn design.

Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Oh, there's more! I didn't realize.
Yeah, Gosalyn looks pretty bad. They all look like some teenager's edgy reimagining of Darkwing Duck, to be honest. If this makes it into the show, I think I'll pass.
Launchpad looks like one of those fat henchmen from Impossible Creatures or something. I don't know why they went with the barrel of bricks design. Launchpad isn't fat, he's just large. Also, his face looks really odd with the concrete block beak and beady eyes.

Optimism is a duty.Edgy? This? Not hardly. Also, Launchpad isn't fat? The side view clearly shows he's top heavy.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireGosalyn doesn't look edgy. She looks like Green Arrow but with a hood instead of a hat (and he did wear a hood at one point). Note how she uses a makeshift bow made with a hockey stick.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI mean in the very last picture, where LP definitely doesn't look top heavy.
Optimism is a duty.I feel like if Darkwing Duck was made today, it couldn't avoid the obvious gag of people assuming that Drake and Launchpad are a gay couple.
I don't think they live together? Though they certainly spend a lot of time together at Darkwing's home.
LP had his own home in the old Ducktales, at least.
Optimism is a duty.Well, this came out of nowhere.
Dynamite Comics netted the comic license for Darkwing Duck.
Expect a reprint of the old comic series and a brand spanking new series in 2023!
Hopefully the reprint gets out to the way quick. It feels like the comics are always getting reprinted.
I wonder if the new series will be an entirely new series, or another continuation of the previous runs.

Optimism is a duty.If it's anything like the other villain prints by the same publisher, they're unlikely to do origins specifically. More additional stories surrounding the characters.

I'm wondering if Audubon Bay Bridge is named after ornithologist Jean-Jacques Audubon or after classic Disney character Ranger Audubon Woodlore (who is most likely named after the ornithologist). Both make sense in the context of the show (being about bird characters & being a Disney show).
