Industry artist Irineo Maramba
(Transformers: Animated, Teen Titans (2003)) uploaded some concept art
of a Darkwing Duck series developed at Disney Television Animation. It features a heavily stylized take on Darkwing, Gosalyn, Launchpad and some villains.
This could have been for the upcoming series, but seeing as this art has been out for four months, it's possible this approach was passed up and safe from any NDA.

I can almost 100 percent guarantee that this art did not make it into the final product. This feels like Epic Mickey all over again.
He also seems to be wearing shoes for some reason... It seems more like a Zorro parody than a DW one, which would be apt, at least.
Hope shines brightest in the darkest timesNot bad and I like the idea of Launchpad and Gosalyn being heroes - it was always the oddest thing that DW's sidekicks were just normal guys and didn't even put on costumes. I think Launchpad could even get away with using his name as his codename and could work. New villains have potential
My only problem is that top Gosalyn doesn't look like Gosalyn. It's like they mixed her with Honker into one duck.
I like the new villains at least, especially the fancy guy and the octo-mom.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Oh, there's more! I didn't realize.
Yeah, Gosalyn looks pretty bad. They all look like some teenager's edgy reimagining of Darkwing Duck, to be honest. If this makes it into the show, I think I'll pass.
Launchpad looks like one of those fat henchmen from Impossible Creatures or something. I don't know why they went with the barrel of bricks design. Launchpad isn't fat, he's just large. Also, his face looks really odd with the concrete block beak and beady eyes.

Hope shines brightest in the darkest timesWell, this came out of nowhere.
Dynamite Comics netted the comic license for Darkwing Duck.
Expect a reprint of the old comic series and a brand spanking new series in 2023!
Negaduck is getting his own comic from Dynamite: https://bleedingcool.com/comics/darkwing-duck-spins-off-negaduck-comic-series-from-dynamite/

I'm wondering if Audubon Bay Bridge is named after ornithologist Jean-Jacques Audubon or after classic Disney character Ranger Audubon Woodlore (who is most likely named after the ornithologist). Both make sense in the context of the show (being about bird characters & being a Disney show).
