Ah yes, that was suspicious as hell. Though I think the dog part was due to Neko.
The images were basically just stills from the episode. But the words were translated, here they are:
Don’t talk selfishly. HOMRA is already finished.
Fu. Do you relish this kind of feeling too, Suoh?
Saruhiko. What should I do?
Shiro! Where are you, Shiro!text
—I’ve said it before. I’ve become his retainer.
Chief. If you follow the same fate as Suoh Mikoto then I…
I’ve gotten slimmer, but I haven’t lost any power!
I’ve lived for a long time. Soon, a suitable time will arrive.
Please don’t look this way with that kind of face.
I… don’t know where I’ll end up.
I thought I might be able to get a little stronger, but… it’s a pity, Kuroh.

I...don't think the ending could have been any sadder if Anna and Neko had been hit by a truck.
But it was a GOOD ending, damn it.
Also, I think the Ho Yay evolved into Homoerotic Subtext/ex-Yaoi Guys between Fushimi and Yata, and Munakata and Mikoto.
(Kuroh was a DOG? I guess maybe Neko did it.)
I wouldn't have expected any less.

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Eh, I'll watch the sequel. I just hope that they won't run out of money like they did with this one.
I mean, I didn't dislike the ending because the writing was bad. I dislike it because they couldn't present it properly. Seriously, remember the action scenes from the first few episodes? Now compare those to what they showed of the fight between two kings.

Same thought. At first I was confused as how Kuroh can be a dog aside from be the metaphorical one. Then I remembered Neko can do some awesome things alright. And I just love their dog-cat relationship, it's so awesome comradeship!
The ending left me in too many tears and feels. A lot of series lately leave me feel feelings and stuff and be a mess emotionally but this one made me cry physically, too. Way to go, K.
That puppet/soulless woman thing the Colorless King danced with in Weissman's airship...was it ever explained?
Never Give UpWell I thought it was a rather poor ending. It was anti-climactic. It was a little boring. It was not conclusive.
I think they were approaching the storytelling from the wrong angle. They were using the mystery angle to move the story forward rather than carefully plotting a struggle of superpowered kings or allowing the characters to drive the plot. Consequently the characters were incidental and once everything was revealed there was little left except some struggles which kind of turned out to be pointless.
Now that being said, another season where we start off largely knowing the background with some familiarity with the characters? If you throw in a more solid story, I'm there.
The entire story was a Sequel Hook.
Given that this show has been made out of money, you can be pretty sure its getting one...
All I have to say: Most disappointing anime of 2012 (That also had the lowest expectation of all the animes for 2012 for me.)
I was expecting So Bad, It's Good.
Then..... It just dawdled till they ran out of episodes.
Well. It actually is quite fun to MST 3 K it up all over.
Happens to be known as Walrus Jones in other circles.I thought it was usually So Okay, It's Average but it had it's moments that brought it above average and made it good.
It's not the worst anime of 2012.

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.It was rather meandering, wasn't it? I guess what they were really trying for was to establish a setting and some basic characterization in order to successfully kickstart a franchise. I suppose it's profitable, but it really makes me question whether the sequel will be worth following, given the weakness of their writing so far.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerPersonally, my only real complaint about the series is that they spent a little too much time on Yata and Fushimi, who weren't really that important to the overall story, that they could have spent on the main trio. Or maybe Munakata and his relationship with Mikoto since that was more important at the end.

where was the second season confirmed? I didn't see any extra end of the episode lines.
