And Angel continues to be a gloriously smug bastard, even on the cover. I love that rabbit.
Is it just me, or is Rainbow Dash reading a Transformers comic in this cover?
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!Possibly. Saw someone bring up what would happen next time there is a massive label wide crossover in IDW, zombies or whatever invade Equatria? Or Derpy just pops in in the Tardis and says hi?
If they can do Mars Attacks KISS, they can get any damned crossover to work.
On the subject of Cross Throughs, though, I think it would be kinda neat if they did a 4-part mini-series next year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of My Little Pony, and each issue is based on a different generation dealing with the Rainbow of Darkness or something. Yes, even G3.
Admit it, it would be epic (the first and last issues, anyways).

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!...Changelings can disguise themselves as/mind control animals? I can't trust my own dog anymore???

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!I wonder if that title The Return of Queen Chrysalis is for the whole four-issue Story Arc or just for the first issue.
If anything, they'll probably use that name for the trade paperback of that arc whether or not it's the name of a single issue.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. What are the odds of good Changelings showing up to rebel against Chrysalis?
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!I don't know. I hope that some Changelings are good. Sure, there were implications of Always Chaotic Evil, but it's not like it was stated one way or the other. Right now, I'm going to say 50/50.
I sure liked how the comic pointed out that whole thing with "hippo = horse", even though the two animals are quite different from one another. I heard tell that Apple Bloom is going to be referred to as a hippo, the same way Sweetie Belle is referred to as a dictionary, and Scootaloo as a chicken!
Oh, Equestria, we stand on guard for thee!I would love for there to be a "Good Changeling" to show up eventually, though I don't know the chances of one showing in this Story Arc.
...Or maybe there's secretly a Brood War going on, the failure at Canterlot was too great a blow and with Love reserves at an all time low, a group of Changelings have broken free of Chrysalis's rule and starting a resistance, and the Mane Six must team up with the rebelling Changelings to save their friends and decide the future of the Changeling race...
Too epic for a kids' magazine? :P

"A Lady does not start fights but they can finish them"Annnd the winner for "Coolest Variant Cover" so far is this one◊ for Issue #2, even if it reeks of Wolverine Publicity (unless there's a subplot about Time Turner fighting Weeping Pegasi)
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!Another Issue #2 cover. Can't read that credit above the barcode; who's "AMF" (the cover artist)?
Rarity's Cutie Mark is the Triforce, apparently.
"i'm like the pimpmaster hustledaddy of all snippy bookshrews" -Dave StriderThe legs look weird, but I really like their manes. *rim shot*
I think what I like about the Time Turner cover is it could pass as just a pony walking around Ponyville on a spooky night. He's not fighting Daleks with a sonic screwdriver or something, its a little more subtle. The most blatant reference is the scarf, and anyone can have a big scarf.
He's Time Turner, not the Doctor. I like that distinction, as cool as Doctor Who is.

EDIT: And◊ more◊, plus a higher-res version of this◊ ("AMF" is apparently Tony Fleecs)

And a larger version of the Time Turner cover, for the curious.
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!And and the individual version of the Rarity cover.
Well, it's nice to see that the guys behind the comics are well aware of Time Turner being compared to Doctor Who.
Out of curiosity, how many covers does an issue normally get? I'm getting a feeling that having 19 different covers for just the first issue is record-breaking!
Oh, Equestria, we stand on guard for thee!
Issue #1's nearly-complete cover gallery (including three◊ new◊ ones◊); only its Ghost Variant left to be revealed.
