The Lovecats...yes...and they are led by...Princess Josie! Long have they oppose the Diamond Dogs, led by of course King Bowie, and by oppose I mean "FRIENDSHIP them so hard they left their own mines" and... Work with me people! I need more music puns! There is fanon to inspire!
ADDITION: Just realized the green-armored changeling is in Issue #2. Chekhov's Changeling?
Also, before I forget, Issue #3 is apparently coming out the 30th, not the 16th, and its not a delay
. Curse you, Internet sources that said otherwise!

You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!Big question...has something happened to the girls, or is that a bunch of changelings only putting half their backs into it.
My fanfic outline. RIP PoseyRemember that Covers Always Lie, though this is the first cover to actually have Chrysalis and changelings on it (though changeling shadows could be seen in the Katie Cook covers for Issue 2). Note the lack of a Twilight changeling and then read the Issue 3 preview on what Chrysalis intends to do to Twilight.
I'm thinking it might just be a cool cover. But yeah, totally a little girls' comic.
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!I'm guessing it's just to look cool. Maybe foreshadowing, given Chrysalis' plan, but I doubt it depicts a literal scene from the comic.
Reaction Image RepositoryAnd it is offical, the Pony comic kicked ass
On the best sellers of 2012, it was #90 by number of copies sold, #61 by money made. And the single best selling comic in the entire history of IDW's publishing And that's just issue 1

Except for different reason, then it was because they convinced everyone that having every cover would be great and get them money in the future because they' be collectors items.
Here, well It's because yes they knew it would work, because the covers were just so damn awesome and we bought them just for the art.
And just wait to see how the average sales go now that they are reducing just how many covers there are.
I mentioned before that we actually got off easy with 19 covers for the first issue. IDW put out 100 variant covers for Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters #1. To be fair, most of those had a template of "Godzilla crushing the store you bought it from", but Matt Frank still had to draw every single store being crushed.
On the other hand, Godzilla was their best seller before ponies. Go figure.
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you! Finally got my Issue 2. Rainbow has the best faces. Woody Spider is great, (that was a reference to Toy Story right? The "Imma cowboy! Howdy howdy howdy!" bit). The spiders in general were great really, I loved Fluttershy's expressions through that part.
Tealove is best pony.Pony Fanon IndexI think the "Howdy howdy howdy" thing was first used in The Far Side, and most of the other uses of the phrase are references to that.
Cover update! Midtown variant covers for Issue 4
(The end of the current arc) and Issue 5
(the start of the second Story Arc) are interesting. Its an Idiosyncratic Cover Art that includes The Crystal Empire, Crystal Mane Six, CMC, Spike, Derpy, Time Turner, Vinyl Scratch, Lyra, Bon Bon, and Wife Tossing (Again).
They'll do anything to promote the Crystal Empire, won't they? :P
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!In case you wondered what My Little Pony comics looked like back in 1986: http://scans-daily.dreamwidth.org/4192696.html#cutid1
We've come a long way.
I mentioned it in the main thread but it may have been overlooked (considering how fast it goes), but there's an Expanded Universe character page if anyone feels like contributing to it.
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!Why does this page even exist? Most of it is completely pointless. No other character page tries to document every single character that exists in a franchise, no matter how irrelevant and insignifcant. There is absolutely no excuse to fill out a cast page with characters like "a stallion" that don't even include any tropes.
