Yeah, I hate to ruin anyone's illusions, but it wasn't all that. Paid decently, but it's a ton of routine in your duties with relatively little variation. Generally speaking, it was the people we were interacting with, (especially the regulars) that made it interesting.
Also, regarding the money, at both banks where I worked, (well, a bank and a large credit union
if you want to get technical) there wasn't as much in the safe as you would think. Both tended to keep a moderate amount on hand and relied on being regularly restocked with cash transfers from the back office than having a huge supply on hand. And after you work with the money for awhile, you get desensitized to it. It all starts to become like Monopoly money in your mind.

So much money holding.. So much transportation of that many in just seconds.. And so many different things to do with that money. I wonder what working at a bank is like.
