Hey guys!

I've been wanting to suggest a fantasy series to a friend of mine, but I can't remember for the life of me what it was called. I can remember it involved a Sorceress/Witch who got a Warrior/Knight to follow her around, winning battles and such, and closing...Gates, I think?

I know they get together in the last book(s?), and that the Witch's name was Morgan or something similar, and I'm ALMOST certain the author was female.

Can you guys help me find this illusive series? I've been trying everything to find it again.

Not YKTTW; that's for suggesting new trope pages. You're looking for You Know That Show.

Right, I feel stupid now. The 'You know that' bit threw me off. My mistake, what Yamii said.

This really shouldn't be on this particular forum; try Literature.

Was Six of Swords, by Carol Nelson Douglas, your card? ...Actually, the full series is called Sword and Circlet, but I can never resist a pun, you see. The witch's name is Irissa, not Morgan, but I think Morgan was a villainess in the first book.

That sounds like The Morgaine Saga by C. J. Cheryh.

[up]Agreed, it sounds like C.J. Cherryh's Morgaine books. Her SF is even better in my opinion.
