For the uninitiated... A contingent of tropers (mostly from across America) holds regular get-togethers over the Interwebs on this site called Synchtube which lets individuals, such as ourselves, open and join in text-based chatrooms within typical web browsers (Firefox, Chrome, et. al.) that allow the chat participants to view YouTube videos in synchronization with everyone else present (without even needing to set up an account)... and we've decided to use said chatrooms to play cheeseball webvideos and feature-length movies found in the public domain which stretch all the way from letters B to Z, which everyone subsequently riffs on a la MST3K.
For over EIGHT years, everybody who gets involved mostly finds good enjoymentnote in calling out tropes that are recognized in the videos and stories and coming up with jokes to fling back at whatever's happening on the screen, many of which turn into various in-jokes and running gags (a Coven Glossary is kept and maintained for everyone's help and convenience HERE) to repeat in the chat.
We're always looking for new ways to better coordinate and expand our activities and are more than happy to welcome newcomers interested in joining our gatherings.

Y'know who else burned books they didn't like? That's right, the Romans!

War is God.Alright, tonight we revisit our favorite Halloween movie about real aliens fooled by a fake alien invasion: Spaced Invaders. Hilarity ensues.
A lot of intelligent life out there sure gets fooled by Orson Welles' radio adaptation of The War of the Worlds, huh?
That would make it unintelligent life, right?
Anyway, tonight, it's Spaced Invaders.
Before that, various stuff.

I'm up for joining Discord servers! PM me if you know any good ones!I tabbed out before the trailer by mistake
"I'll show you all of Paris, I'll take you on a tour, we'll go up and up and up so high they'll long for an encore!"As a kid, I saw Spaced Invaders, and found it unfunny and lame. Cartoony voices for all the aliens, a kid who always wears his duck costume, and lots of silly random stuff happening and going wrong, do not make a comedy funny. It's just plain bad.
This isn't an example of "I saw something I liked as a kid through adult eyes," but seeing something that's just as bad now as it was then.
I'm up for joining Discord servers! PM me if you know any good ones!Alright, tonight I leave you behind one of my personal holiday favorites: Trick or Treat (1986)—the tale of a heavy metal geek who summons the departed spirit of his rock n' roll hero by playing his final record backwards. The moral of the story is never meet your heroes.
Featuring that geek from Family Ties (not Michael J. Fox) and cameos from Gene Simmons and Ozzy Osbourne.
Trick or Treat!
Wait, Halloween is 2 weeks from now?
Well, here, have it early. And have our pre-show also, which includes a story about virtual pets.

I'm up for joining Discord servers! PM me if you know any good ones!Alright, so I got two excellent suggestions for the movie night thingy. Both star my favorite band the Bee Gees.
- The first is a TV special from 1968 entitled Idea. It's basically a very long music video featuring performances by the Bee Gees with guest performances by Julie Driscoll, some group called Brian Auger and The Trinity, and a Swedish singer named Lil Lindfors. The entire program has never been released legally but it sure to heck has on the bootleg circuit and is up on YouTube.
- The second is the infamous 1978 musical film version of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band featuring them, Peter Frampton, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, George Burns, Steve Martin, and more. It's pretty dang cheesy but it's amusing fun if you're into that sort of thing.
To my surprise, Hellraiser wasn't already voted on before. I assumed we were running it since it was a repeat, but nope.
So I ran the poll.
It got ★★★★ perfectly with 8 votes.

I'm up for joining Discord servers! PM me if you know any good ones!Hello. We have not seen the former but we have seen the latter and it garnered a... sub-optimal reception, to put it mildly. If you have further suggestions, please continue to post them on the thread and we will consider them.
War is God.I know it wasn't addressed to me, but we've done rewatches before so long as there was a long enough gap between previous and most recent watching (i.e. I suggested we do The Wall and UHF again and Sean said that we could for the former but said it was a little too early currently to rewatch the latter), so we could rewatch Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band even if it wasn't all that great, all things considered.
Everybody knows Heaven is a place on Earth, but so is Hell! It's true, look it up.(cont.)
That said...
I don't know how I didn't know about it until, like, last week, but I was kind of getting interested in watching True Stories (mostly because I couldn't pass up the idea of a musical directed by and starring David Byrne going to a fictional Texan town to show vignettes of the town's quirky denizens...that and the soundtrack, especially Wild Wild Life, is killer), so I went to suggest it and see if we hadn't seen it...and it was one of the special, critical breakdown movies done. The thought persisted, and I thought, "Hey, who's to say we can't rewatch it and give it a rating as well?" Sean, probably, but I still have hopes.

Everybody knows Heaven is a place on Earth, but so is Hell! It's true, look it up.Bold Letter distinction is far more prestigious than any "rating" we bestow a movie.
We haven't watched Sgt. Pepper in ~7 years, so we could possibly revisit it one night, if we wanted to, but we all know that it's still a heaping pile of shit. We'll see; time will tell.
Anyway, I promise I will be returning tomorrow evening, but tonight I'll be leaving behind another one of my holiday favorites (which I seem to enjoy way more than anybody else; chalk that up to deep nostalgia for renting this out on VHS at my local Blockbuster way back in 2002): Night of the Demons
Starring actress/dancer-turned-"pet psychic" Amelia Kinkade and the ultimate 1980's B-movie scream queen, Linnea Quigley. Let "Stoogie" become your spirit animal...
Doesn't mean we couldn't still rewatch it, right?
Everybody knows Heaven is a place on Earth, but so is Hell! It's true, look it up.We could.
I'd been playing that exercise game Ring Fit Adventure since I got it last night. Well, playing in bits and pieces. I should raise the exercise difficulty a bit - I set it probably too low. But it's a fun little game.
Anyway, tonight is the Night of the Demons! Come join us!
Before that, we got some scary stories from Jerma.

I'm up for joining Discord servers! PM me if you know any good ones!Had to make room for this one. Before he became a buffed up version of adult Anthony Michael Hall who squanders his talents by appearing in Travoltasploitation like The Fanatic (), Devon Sawa was showing so much hope and promise in awesome shit like Idle Hands.
Also starring Jessica Alba, Seth Green, Vivica A. Fox (In the event that you ever need to connect Fred Durst to Cool Cat in a twisted game of Six Degrees of Separation, this movie is now your most crucial link)... and Fred Willard for all of, like, 5 minutes, I think.
Alright, we got a great night lined up.
Hop on in early for vintage content from cRiT1KaL and Everything Is Terrible.
Then, at the top of the coming hour, we revisit the great Devon Sawa at the peak of his career (for now), where he learns a valuable lesson that Idle Hands are the Devil's playground.

Here's a never-before-seen treat for the Halloween Season: An early-80's anthology horror film "presented" by Vincent Price playing a vampire.
Also featuring John Carradine, Donald Pleasence, and a bunch of bands and musicians I've never heard of before.
Welcome to The Monster Club...
This is Vincent Price granting the ghouls of the night another horrific anthology of DOOM.
War is God.
The movie does some decent stuff with its premise, of the kid becoming more cruel and eventually possessed outright. It was okay, I thought.
It got ★★.
