For the uninitiated... A contingent of tropers (mostly from across America) holds regular get-togethers over the Interwebs on this site called Synchtube
which lets individuals, such as ourselves, open and join in text-based chatrooms within typical web browsers (Firefox, Chrome, et. al.) that allow the chat participants to view YouTube videos in synchronization with everyone else present (without even needing to set up an account)... and we've decided to use said chatrooms to play cheeseball webvideos and feature-length movies found in the public domain which stretch all the way from letters B
to Z
, which everyone subsequently riffs on a la MST3K.
For over EIGHT years, everybody who gets involved mostly finds good enjoymentnote in calling out tropes that are recognized in the videos and stories and coming up with jokes to fling back at whatever's happening on the screen, many of which turn into various in-jokes and running gags (a Coven Glossary is kept and maintained for everyone's help and convenience HERE
) to repeat in the chat.
We're always looking for new ways to better coordinate and expand our activities and are more than happy to welcome newcomers interested in joining our gatherings.

As I said, the movie had only one good thing about it. Dom De Luise's song.
It still doesn't make up for Mae West ruining perfectly good songs, the unfunny jokes, and the general mind fuck nature of the movie.
Has anyone reviewed North yet?

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Oh come on - you're telling me that Husband #6's performance wasn't good? He was great, and he only got better near the end of the film!
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987The one good song she had, and that was only because Alice Cooper was there to save it.
Overall, best song went to Dom DeLuise.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Saves it? Alice Cooper carries that whole thing LIKE A BOSS!
Fun Fact: IMDb Trivia
on Sextette reports that Alice Cooper was repeatedly sexually propositioned by Ms. West, off camera, during the filming their scene.

Ms. West certainly had a better singing voice ~20 some odd years earlier.
In other slightly unfortunate news, I gotta call an audible and scrap our initially intended feature for tonight, The Pool
, after finding out that some parts of the segmented upload were missing. That disappoints me; I actually rented this from Blockbuster once back when I was in high school, and I figured a hackneyed, European-made post-Scream slasher with an odd pop-punk soundtrack would've been a ripe target.
No matter, there's always other slasher/horror flicks out there, and that's why I'm, instead, putting out Dr. Giggles.
Still, I'm really in the mood for seeing a Scream knockoff again sometime soon.

Hey, there actually is a place to add ideas for Relationship Statuses. So come on over and post some, if you want.
"Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy."Alright, right now we got just Shmorky (no Lowtax) doing a new LP on by his lonesome, the first episode of Pilot Candidate, and more vids from Everything is Terrible. Then, at the top of the coming hour, we got an appointment with Dr. Giggles.

When it's after midnight, and one says he has more important matters to attend... I know it's something serious, and I begin fearing from even that moment the absolute worst things. It's quite unfortunate news to hear about your mother. She'll be in my thoughts.
P.S. I can't help but sense this feeling of deja vu, and I really hope that I'm misremembering having heard this same exact news not too long ago already.

Oh, Ho-Oh-HOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo...
The rest of the world may be celebrating Valentine's Day, but our little hole in the wall has got Kung Fu Friday!
This week, our three great leads from Tiger Claws—Cynthia Rothrock, Bolo Yeung, and Jalal Merhi—return in the appropriately titled Tiger Claws II.

Oh, Ho-Oh-HOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo...
Time to roundhouse kick off another Kung Fu Friday with more of Ninja: The Mission Force and the usual dose of Godfrey Ho. Then, at the top of the coming hour, Cynthia Rothrock, Bolo Yeung, and Jalal Merhi reunite in Tiger Claws II!

Won't be getting any .gifs out of Sextette tonight. Shame, that "thumbs up" message received over the phone is priceless. I'm fitting that into my mock Godfrey Ho ninja screenplay now.
Still, no .gifs, but now I got a song stuck in my head...
