What breaks if I implements these rules?

Dungeons And Dragons 3.5e: At every 5 levels, a Rogue, Fighter, Barbarian, Monk, Ranger and Paladin may choose another class from the list of Rogue, Fighter, Barbarian, Monk, Ranger and Paladin to add as a Gestalt class, treating it as if they have always had those classes.

Pathfinder: Same tweak.

Exalted 2e: Give PC DB's in mixed splat parties DB Cohorts with Fanatical Loyalty, a number of which is equal to the PC's Essence -2 each with their own Essence equal the PC's Essence /2.

...so every 20th level melee dude is all of the classes?

Ranged non-magical classes effectively miss out on two classes?

Rogue, Ranger, Fighter, and then... something?

What about Scout, Ninja and Knight?

[up]I was initially thinking of Core

[up][up]Missing out? How?

Paladin and Barbarian provide marginal bonuses to a ranged weapon user (unless they use... javelins?), and Monk provides only a little more.

I'm thinking of Core of course. If splatbooks are fair game, there's probably a lot more they can choose from.

Pretty much every "melee" and "mundane" class

In Pathfinder, a Paladin Archer is actually pretty amazing, since Smite Evil lasts until the target is dead and bypasses all DR. Smite Evil + constant full attacks = some good.

Mutants and Masterminds 2nd Editions

What breaks if I...

The Speed power is nerfed so ground speed is now B*2^X, where B is Base Speed and X is the number of ranks in the speed power.

The Flight power is further nerfed so now it isn't just one rank behind Speed, with flight speed being B*X.

And what happens if I require a Fly skill for actually utilizing a Flight power?
