Has anyone here read a book they loathed, but had intriguing plot devices and stuff. Twilight in my opinion is awful (which is a uncommon opinion to take on the Internet I know) but they idea of say vampires having traits from life amplified into special abilities is cool.

Anne Mc Caffrey's Pern books. The whole idea, the genetically engineered dragons, the thread, everything sounds awesome. Unfortunately, her prose is such a vivid shade of purple that I can rarely get past the first couple chapters of one of her books.

Billy and Howard is a gorn filled mostly boring waste of Internet space but the question of wether or not friendship and brother hood can exist when one party has total power over the other is a interesting one.

Yet another complaint thread. The forum rules say you can't do this. Stop trying.
