I'd like something like Heroes, balancing the more realistic forces of SHIELD with the Marvel Heroes. Like a villain/hero of the week kind of deal, one episode would focus on Coulson/SHIELD Guy interacting with Thor and dealing with an Asgardian threat, and the next episode another, and have the "phenomenoal" heroes appear in cameos. And then just work it like Heroes Season 1 and let connect the storylines. Coulson doesn't have to be the main character, like Dexter, Monk, Sherlock, 24 or any other show with an "agent".

But don't do something like Smallville and try to inject Thanos/Firelord/Abomination/Hulk/Sentinels/or any other heavy-hitter into the plot. Keep it below city-level, at least for Season 1.

If there's going to be a Hulk episode, and I can't believe I'm saying this... but I want it to focus on Bruce Banner and not Hulk, or maybe at the end have a hint of Hulk. But the show's about SHIELD, so they have to find a way to contain the Hulk - that's Bruce Banner. No need blowing money on an awful televised CGI version of Hulk.

But... if they're going for more of a "hardcore secret agent" show then who am I to tell'm otherwise?

I found what may be a picture of a model of a design for the Vision.

Taking with a grain of salt.

Until we get TRUE confirmation that Coulson is or becomes Vision (which I fail to see working a all) he will only be human and alive normally

Hmm maybe in the MCU Stark build the Vision and modelled it after Coulson as tribute....which freaks the real and alive Coulson out to no end.

The pilot, maybe the first couple episodes (or even first season), will take place before Coulson's death. That's my guess anyway. But I don't think they'll do that forever, and they'll want to keep up with the current events of the MCU, and so Clark Gregg will leave the show.

[up][up] Coulson is the biggest name character in the show and a major selling point. They aren't going to use him for a short bit than kill him off.

It really shouldn't be that hard to find something like that. Yet I can't. If you could provide a link, that would be appreciated. But until then, I'm going with what has been shown.

He wasn't shown dying, either, and Fury, the master spy who's secrets have secrets and lies professionally, was the only person to ever say that Coulson had died who hadn't heard it previously from him. You're trusting Fury too much.

I saw a high school friend at work a couple weeks ago wearing a shirt that said "Fury Lies, Coulson Lives." It's high up there on my "awesome shirts" list.

He actually was shown dying. We watch Coulson take his last breaths. How much more "shown dying" do you need than that?

No, we aren't shown him dying. We're shown him passing out.

Yes, it's entirely possible that they'll go full-retard and do a comic book death; but I hope not, since so far the films have managed to avoid most of that kind of bullshit.

People usually don't pass out with their eyes open. We also hear him stop breathing; his breaths are very heavy up until the point he stops talking, and then abruptly end.

So, he stops talking, his eyes are still open, and his breathing ceases. How much explicit does the death scene need to be?

[up][up][up] Nobody is saying he wasn't mortally wounded. What we are pointing out is that, the very moment Coulson passed out is also when the trauma team arrived. . . who we heard Fury tell off *only over the radio*. Coulson clearly hadn't been insta-killed via heart of spine damage, so its entirely possible that *even if he were flatlining at that moment*, he could have been saved ( especially since SHIELD clearly has better tech than real world, its hardly a stretch to think this includes better trauma medicine ).

Could have, maybe. The door is open that, if they want to bring him back, there's just enough leverage to do it.

But that doesn't change the fact that he had a clear and established death scene, was explicitly shown dying, and yet it's being taken as fact that Coulson's alive and going to return in post-Avengers stories. He's turning into Elvis.

Until shown otherwise, Coulson is dead. The attitude of "Coulson is alive until we get an explicit death scene" ignores the fact that we got an explicit death scene.

[up] More like "Coulson is not definitively dead when the movie he died in, itself called into question the factuality of his death." Its not like Avengers was subtle about "Fury lies, and he specifically and definitely lied about Coulson's death at least in part."
