No. Why would we need separate articles for Unlucky Childhood Friend and Victorious Childhood Friend? We already merged those two some time ago because there's no real difference between them except the final detail.
Edit: To build on that, if anything we should merge all those examples into one heading. How it ends up is really not important to our job here.

The examples were supposed to be merged when the pages were but it looks like someone did it the lazy way.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI think at the time the thread might have decided to keep them separate on the page. To be honest, I haven't checked back on that page and read past the description since the original merge was done.
Should we go ahead and just merge those together?
Edit: I agree with a complete merge.

Check out my fanfiction!I think we should. A big part of the reason we merged was to avoid spoilers.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickLocking per OP's request.
We've got three tropes here—Unlucky Childhood Friend, Victorious Childhood Friend, and the open-ended one. I don't see why they're all on the same page. Luckily, they're already separated, so my vote is to split off the first two, and leave the third on the Childhood Friend Romance page, which will become the supertrope.
Thoughts?
