Krona revealed he was the Entities former master, and that he caused the Manhunters to malfunction. He then infected the GL battery with Parallex and the Guardians with the other Entities and only the Human Lanterns who have held him in their rings before werne't brainwashed. But they still couldnt use the rings or else they would be. Also the Corps leaders got sucked into the book of the Black leaving their Rings. John took Indigo, Kyle Hope, Guy Red and Hal Yellow. John had to kill Mogo to stop it from making even more Brainwashed lanterns. Guy put on a Violet Ring with his Red Ring and Hal put on Orange so they could pull Parallax out of the Main battery. The Entities escape and Hal kills Krona. They kick him out and Sinestro gets a GL ring he cant take off.
Post-Reboot Kyle's history makes no sense anymore, and he gets stuck with all the rings and then kicked out by the Guardians who lobatamized Ganthet to have no emotion in New Guardians. He is teaming up with other Lanterns working for Larfleeze and then fighting him. Also the Reach attacked the BL planet and cracked the battery and the BL's had to leave it. And arkillo is the only remaining Arkillo Lantern aka Yellow having his own special battery.
John and Guy in Corps, fight the people who mined the stuff the Battery and rings are made from and John kills a Corpsmen to stop him from giving Oa's location. Guy uses Sinestro Corps Members as a bomb to wipe out the Will Race. The Guardians want to get rid of the Corps and Implement their Third Army and put Guy in charge of things because they want him to fuck up. John is found out to have killed another Lantern and sentanced to death.
In Red Lanterns Attrocitus is mopey because he couldnt kill Krona himself. He tries to find Rage in places by visiting places of Great Rage. Meanwhile on Earth a human named Jack lost his Grandfather and then his brother and became Rankorr the RL. He travels to the RL planet where Attrocitus's first creation has risen again and taken Krona's body to add his skin to his body and gain Krona's powers. He then poison's the RL Main battery and the RL's go and fight the Star Sapphires thinking they did it.
In the main GL book Hal is stuck on Earth with no ring and starts to try to get his life together again. Sinetro shows up and makes Hal his bitch giving Hal a ring but it cant hurt Sinestro and he can take it back. He asks for Hal's help in freeing his planet from the Corps he created. They do so and hut down the Yellow Battery which is why arkillo with his Special one is the only remaining YL. They then run afowl of the Indigo Tribe where we learn that they were created by Abin Sur to give the Guardians Compassion to stop them after Blackest Night. The caretaker shut down the battery after he learned Abin was dead ut Indigo-1 who was a sociopath who killed Abin's daughter came and showed she had grown emotions from the ring so it was turned back on. Unfortunately while they were off Black Hand escaped and then threw himself off a Cliff rather than have the Ring on again/. He RISES and then goes back to Earth killing people and raising his family. Hal and Sinestro vist Sinstro's secret Cave where they look at the book of the Black and see prophecies like Kyle as a RL, Guy in jail, the new Lantern Shooty, and Attrocitus leading the manhunters. They are then transported to Earth where Black Hand is.
And thats all.
I'm not sure what to think of the Guardians pulling a Face–Heel Turn. Admittedly, they've been, if not Jumping Off the Slippery Slope, certainly taking a leisurely ski-gondola down it for a while now, but actually seeing them hit the bottom is kind of a shock to me after they've done things like fight off the Anti-Monitor, zap Superboy-Prime out of the universe, and play the innocent victims during Blackest Night. I really hope they and most of the Corps make it out of this alive, or else Johns' entire 8+ year run will essentially be one of those stories with a net gain of exactly squat.
Also, Hal and Sinestro obviously aren't dead; not only was there no body, but their rings did something weird instead of the usual thing dead Lanterns' rings do.
I'm thinking that instead the 'New Guardians' title may have even more significance once everything is said and done.
Rather than wiping out all the other Lantern Corps, we'll instead be looking at the 'New Guardians' taking the old Guardians place and forming a council of sorts that does what the old Guardians used to do and were supposed to be doing when they finally lost their sanity and fell off the moral cliff. Possibly with Sayd and Ganthet (if he survives and gets his emotions back) being advisors as necessary.

Agreed. I've never had a problem with the Guardians doing some morally dubious things that don't seem quite right to mere mortals, due to their great age and the way they can see the much bigger picture. But seeing them actually go bad after spending billions of years protecting life throughout the universe is a storyline that just doesn't seem right.
The very name "New Guardians" is a bad omen... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Guardians
In all honesty, it's about time the Guardians of the Universe became the Big Bad. From what I read up on them, they have done a lot of things that make them more villains than heroes. They seemed like Lawful Stupid Obstructive Bureaucrats who resorted to Contemplate Our Navels at the best of times. The Green Lanterns would be better off without those Knight Templars!
You kidding?
The guardians as bad guys goes as far as at least Emerald twilight, if not older.
This is treaded, boring territory we are going through.
The cover of GL Annual #1
◊, the start of Third Army is an homage to The Death of Superman cover.
◊
But since the GL logo is green and not red, instead of looking like Blood it just looks like green paint.

Casual talk is a debate you have to win.

So what do you guys think of the Third Army thing that's going to happen and the prophecies around it. Also what bigger story do you think it will lead into.
