I don't see the problem? The post itself points out that you can just hit the share button and type a message.
I am 100% in favor of being spammed less by automatic messages, especially from creators I already follow. I don't need to know their new video is out in 18 different ways.
That's a dumb thing to take away. This is something a lot of people actively use, and I don't see any positives to taking this away.
I actually prefer that. Before you either had to stick with the same standard message Youtube provides for you when you click the Share button, or edit it anyway.
Except they can hit the share button and enter a message for the exact same result. So not seeing what's being loss here.
Less you're telling me typing one sentence is too much to ask of creators.
You can’t hit the share button if you’re not online, many content creators have videos scheduled to go live at times where they are not actively at their computer.
"And the Bunny nails it!" ~ Gabrael "If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we." ~ CyranStill not seeing the issue. Share it when you are online. Not like the video's views aren't gonna be valid then either.
Is there anything that can be done about that glitch that makes it impossible to scroll through your subscriptions, or do you just have to wait for it to pass?
@Silasw How do the creators do that?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3u8p-tnJWGoI'm honestly torn. On one hand, Bill Wurtz. On the other hand, Ethan Klein...
Apparently Mat Pat and Game Theory have done something, and several proactive Youtubers have made videos touching on the topic. Good luck finding one that suits you.
EDIT: Well this guy seems kind of neutral on the subject.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Oh Jees. HIM?? I didn't think he would hurt a fly.
Compared to other controversies, this is just... really freaking silly.
It's been 3000 years…Plagarism and Stealing isn't silly.
Watch SymphogearBut the controversy has nothing to do with plagiarism or stealing. I'm not sure how this comment is relevant.
EDITTED TO ADD: Plagiarism is claiming someone else's work as your own. I did not see any indication that Mat Pat tried to claim ownership of the game Heartbound, or to claim that he had any hand in its development.
And unless you want to say he acquired the game illegitimately, I don't see any way that you can connect it to stealing.

Video Game Census. Please contribute. From what I can tell, the only things he did wrong were to say this game was the next Undertale when it wasn't, refer to the developers by the wrong name, and not put the game in the description. Compared to stuff other Youtubers (including himself) have done over the years, this is very tame.
It's been 3000 years…Uhhh... I don't have a description for this beyond beautiful animation.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I don't know where else to ask this, so. What's up with youtube's new video playback... look? In my case it changed between the beginning and end of a video (that is, normal before, and the new thing after). I don't like it. And I'm not sure what the point is. The video screen is no bigger than it was, it's just surrounded by blackness that takes up the whole screen (I'm on a desktop, btw. idk what it may be doing in mobile).
I.... think you might have activated "Theater Mode?" It should be near the full screen button. You can just set it back to default view.
Unless Youtube changed something again, which honestly wouldn't surprise me.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Posting this in case this wasn't already brought up earlier:
So I've heard that some Youtubers have taken to doing something called the "Bird Box Challenge". Which consists of making videos of doing stuff while blindfolded (y'know, like in Bird Box).
And apparently one teenager, "inspired" by Youtuber Jake Paul (brother of Logan Paul which should already be a red flag) driving a car into traffic while blindfolded, tried the same thing. And totaled her car.
CNN vid report: Blindfolded teen crashes car doing 'Bird Box' challenge
Disgusted, but not surprisedI'm honestly confused about that "scandal" too since its rather clear he meant it in sense of "Next big thing". I mean, worst about that is its click baity (and I guess he should have backed down sooner when devs contacted him, but I still think devs kinda overreacted since by making it public big thing that means they have also gained negative rep for their game)
^...Is it just me or are youtube challenges becoming increasingly stupid and dangerous?
Edited by SpookyMask on Jan 16th 2019 at 9:22:22 PM
Haven't there always been Youtube challenges, just named differently, and haven't they always been dangerous?
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."People died to tidepods because some idiotic fucking youtubers.
There was also one guy that glued his head into a concrete caste constructed from a toilet bowl as a base. The dumbass nearly suffocated himself with this little stunt. He was lucky that his friends cut him out the caste fast enough
There was also a youtube couple that decided to test the theory about whether a book will block a bullet. They used a desert eagle as the test gun. It ended with the man obviously getting shot and killed and the woman going to jail whilst being pregnant.
No sadly youtubers have been just as dangerous and stupid for a long time sadly and they are influencing teenagers and kids to follow in their foot steps which has resulted in deaths. The tide pod challenge being a big example as there was some deaths attributed to it.

It's gotten to the point where Youtube has actually taken action (or at least the appearance of action):
YouTube’s guidelines now address dangerous pranks following Bird Box, Tide Pod challenges
Disgusted, but not surprisedJake Paul is such a nasty piece of work it feels...
And thats impressive considering his brother's massive fuckup in Japan a year or two ago.

Youtube fuckery yet again.
It looks like content creators just got word that automatic posting of activity (uploads, liked videos) to Twitter will no longer be available by the end of the month.
